The Buffalo Bills won’t play an international game in 2025.
The NFL announced their full international slate of games for the 2025 on Tuesday morning ahead of the larger schedule release on Wednesday. The Buffalo Bills had four potential options to play as the away team in an international game, but did not make the cut.
In Week 1, the Los Angeles Chargers will host a team TBD in Brazil. The Bills aren’t on LA’s schedule, so we know it won’t be Buffalo.
On Sunday, September 29th, the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Minnesota Vikings in the first game in Dublin, Ireland. The Bills play at Pittsburgh but it clearly won’t be that weekend.
The Vikings stay in Europe and head to London the following week for a game against the Cleveland Browns October 5th. Like Pittsburgh, the Bills play at Cleveland but we can eliminate that weekend.
The following Sunday the New York Jets host the Denver Broncos on October 12th. The Bills won’t play the Jets that weekend and won’t head to London to play their divisional foes.
The Los Angeles Rams square off against the Jacksonville Jaguars the following week in London on October 19th.
After a late October break, the NFL returns to Europe on November 9th in Berlin, Germany, where the Atlanta Falcons play the Indianapolis Colts.
The final game where Buffalo could have been the opponent in November 16th, when the Miami Dolphins host the Washington Commanders in Madrid, Spain.
The last time the Bills played overseas, they sleep-walked their way to a loss against the Jaguars and lost Matt Milano for the rest of the season on a broken leg. Add in the 9:30 a.m. Eastern start time for those games, and I think most Bills fans are happy the Bills’ name didn’t get called.
