The Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga have been trying to hammer out a new deal for weeks now, and there has been basically no movement forward.

Both sides have dug in their heels, and the situation is at a standstill.

A new report from Brett Siegel says that negotiations may come to an end soon, and Kuminga will just accept the minor deal offered to him with plans for becoming an unrestricted free agent next summer.

“There haven’t been any indications suggesting that the Warriors are thinking of changing their offer, and unless they do so over the course of the next week, Kuminga is prepared to end talks and accept his qualifying offer, league sources said. At the end of the day, Kuminga wants to feel valued, and the Warriors haven’t given him ample reasons to want to stay,” via Brett Siegel.

It sounds like Kuminga is going to take the one-year deal, but he won’t be happy about it.

He will instead stay with the Warriors for a single season, in hopes of raising his value and becoming an attractive target for next summer’s free agency.

There is a chance that Kuminga and the Warriors are able to mend their relationship, and he becomes a helpful and consistent part of the roster.

If that happens, maybe he will decide to stick with the Warriors next summer and sign a better, long-term contract.

There is also a chance that the Warriors part ways with him before next summer and use him as a trade chip before the deadline in February.

Kuminga still wants bigger and better things for himself and doesn’t think he’ll get them with the Warriors.

He will stay with Golden State, but signing a one-year, qualifying offer means that he has his sights set on future moves.

Pat Beverley Has High Praise For Stephen Curry

Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors truly is in a league all his own when it comes to shooting.

Other players may try to be like him, but they don’t come close.

It’s not just fans and analysts who feel this way, because professional basketball players hold the same opinion.

Patrick Beverley talked about comparisons to Curry and said that “no one is close” to the Warriors superstar.

“No one’s like him. Let’s get that clear. No one’s like him at all. No one would even be close to him. It’s no one close to him. He’s the best shooter to ever touch the ball. No one is ever close to him. You can ask any basketball player,” Beverley said.

Beverley did add that Fred VanVleet of the Houston Rockets has a “resemblance” to Curry, but even he isn’t near Curry and his incredible shooting abilities.

Although he’s not in the league right now, Beverley spent years in the NBA and got to see Curry’s powers up close, often.

He knows just how hard it is to defend the Warriors’ star because he can shoot from just about anywhere.

It doesn’t matter if it’s in the paint or from far beyond the three-point line; Curry has an uncanny skill to sink the ball.

Last season, Curry averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.0 assists on 44.8 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from the three-point line.

He once again had the most three-point attempts and three-pointers made for the whole league, again proving that no one can score like him.

Beverley is just one of many people watching Curry with total awe.

There really isn’t anyone like him, and there may never be.

Draymond Green Names His Favorite NBA Player To Watch

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is one of the biggest names in the NBA, but he’s also a fan.

Like millions of others, he is blown away by the level of talent in the league.

When it comes to his favorite player to watch, Green has a clear choice: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“Shai, he’s just going to get you a bucket. People complaining that he’s drawing fouls but that’s a skill. There’s an art to it. If you’re a dumb defender and you foul, that’s your fault,” Green said.

Gilgeous-Alexander just had a historic season that resulted in him becoming a champion.

It may have been the first time, but many people believe he will do it again soon, perhaps even next season.

Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the craftiest and fastest players in the league.

He is able to move up and down the court, finding ways to score as well as lock down his opponents with strong defense.

He has a skill at finding a bucket, no matter who he is playing against or how tough the defender is.

Some people complain that Gilgeous-Alexander draws fouls too often, but Green isn’t buying that.

Instead, Green thinks it’s all part of the game and that Gilgeous-Alexander simply plays on the stupidity of the men he is battling against.

The comments and debate around Gilgeous-Alexander will only grow in the new season.

Now that he’s a champion, more people will have strong opinions about him, with some praising him and others critiquing him.

But no matter what, Gilgeous-Alexander has the support of one of the league’s toughest stars, and that means something.

Jonathan Kuminga ‘Anticipated’ To Make Big Contract Decision

Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors have been dancing around a deal for weeks now, but no progress has been made.

There have been a lot of rumors, a lot of speculation, and some valid concerns from fans.

But now, progress is being made.

A new report says that Kuminga will agree to the qualifying offer that has been on the table for weeks.

“Kuminga signing the qualifying offer remains the anticipated outcome. The deadline to do so is Oct. 1. Meanwhile, Al Horford and the rest of the veterans in Golden State’s waiting room are quietly pleading for clarity,” per Monte Poole.

The Warriors and Kuminga only have a few weeks to agree to the terms of the one-year qualifying deal.

It won’t be a big one, and it definitely won’t keep Kuminga in the Bay Area for long.

In fact, most people feel that this qualifying deal promises that Kuminga will seek a new home in the league, either before the trade deadline or next summer when he becomes a free agent.

Kuminga might be signing on the dotted line with the Warriors, but he certainly isn’t planning to stay with them long-term.

There is always the chance that somehow Kuminga feels better with the Warriors in the new season.

Perhaps Steve Kerr finds a reliable place for him in the rotation, and it is a very beneficial arrangement for both.

But all signs point to Kuminga agreeing to this deal and then leaving as soon as he can.

The Warriors have plans beyond this, so they want the contract official quickly.

Stephen Curry Makes Bold Statement About Today’s NBA

He might be biased, but Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors loves the current state of the NBA.

Sitting down on The Today Show, Curry shared his opinion about the league.

Despite what some people say, he feels that his style of deep three-point shooting has helped the NBA and led to the “most skilled era” of basketball.

“Just the way that you see the skill level right now. The way that range has taken over. Guys shooting threes all over the court. From one through five, and all the way down the roster, I think this is the most skilled era of basketball,” Curry said.

No matter what you think about him, no one can deny that Curry has changed the way the league works.

Since entering the NBA, he has led a three-point shooting revolution.

There was a time when threes were valuable and exciting, but now they have become crucial and every single team is attempting to nail them during every game.

That’s mostly because of Curry, who has the most threes of all time and is considered the best shooter to ever play the game.

Some people feel that shots from deep range have weakened basketball and taken away the competitive edge.

Curry doesn’t think that way, and millions of people agree with him.

Instead, he believes that this sort of shooting has helped all kinds of players, no matter their position or role on the court.

Curry knows that the current generation of basketball players is great due to more than three-point shots.

For a number of reasons, he thinks that NBA fans have never had such a great league to enjoy.

Draymond Green Names Hardest Player To Guard In His Career

Golden State Warriors v Minnesota Timberwolves - Game Two

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has defended the best players in the NBA, and he has held his own against most of them.

But he will admit that some players are more difficult than others.

Speaking to NBC Sports, he said that guarding Kevin Durant during his days with the Oklahoma City Thunder was a real nightmare.

“The hardest player I had to guard in my career is KD,” Green said, speaking of Kevin Durant. “KD in OKC. After that, I figured him out, right. Slim can’t score on me no more – nah, he going to score on everybody, but I got better and learned more about his game. But, in OKC and just coming into the league and figuring — oh my God. No chance.”

Green wasn’t the only person who hated to see Durant on the court.

Right out of the gate, he was one of the toughest opponents in the league because he had so many ways he could score.

Even today, his mid-range game is considered one of the greatest the league has ever seen.

Durant was a powerful rookie, and he really found his footing quickly with OKC.

There is a reason why they became a scary force in the West and went all the way to the Finals.

But Green claims he figured him out and was able to find ways to slow Durant down.

Years later, they played on the same team, which gave Green an even better opportunity to study Durant.

Today, Durant is still a fierce scorer, and Green is still a fearsome defender.

When they meet up on the court, it’s always a sight to see.
