Senators Trade for Dennis Gilbert

The Ottawa Senators have found a bit of help for their left side. And it’s a familiar face.

This afternoon, the Sens announced that they have acquired defenceman Dennis Gilbert from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Max Guenette.

A familiar face coming back to town!

Gilbert appeared in four games with the Senators last season. He has yet to appear in an NHL game this season and has suited up for just six games in the American Hockey League.

Guenette, a 7th round pick in 2019, has yet to suit up for a game in Belleville this season.

Game Day – Senators Begin Lengthy Road Trip in Anaheim

The Ottawa Senators are a hockey team operating in the National Hockey League. And I am an anonymous blogger that tells you about them from time to time.

Since the 1992/1993 season, the Senators (or the Sens, as they often called by their loyal supporters) have proudly represented Canada’s national pastime in Canada’s national capital. They play their home games in a stadium called the Canadian Tire Centre (or The Tire as it’s sometimes called by at least one person) and their team colours have traditionally been some combination of red, black, gold and white.

While they have yet to capture the sport’s ultimate prize (The Stanley Cup) they will seek a delayed revenge on the team that deprived them of that honour in a regular season game that takes place TONIGHT.

The Ottawa Senators make their long-awaited return to the ice surface as they pay a visit to the surprisingly-competent Anaheim Ducks.

Tonight’s game kicks off what is a grueling seven-game road trip. Tough for the team obviously but also a wee bit tricky for fans too as the next ten days of hockey all have different start times.

10 PM, 7 PM, 9 PM, 10 PM, 4 PM and 6 PM.

PaV is gonna need to be ON HIS GAME.

Here’s how the Senators are expected to line up tonight in California, including an NHL debut for Stephen Halliday and a surprise absence for Ridly Greig.

Puck drops at just after 10:00 PM. Not for the faint of heart. TSN5 has the TV coverage and TSN 1200 and 104.7 FM have the radio calls. Internet pirates will be up at all hours of the night to provide us with the links we need.

And because of the late start, you have a few extra hours to get a lost in the beauty of the HEAD2HEAD table.
