Follow the latest news on your Detroit Red Wings.

The Red Wings had most of this week off after closing out a successful west coast trip Tuesday night in Seattle. After today, the Wings won’t play for another two weeks, and hopefully will have an eight-game win streak going into the Four Nations Face Off pause. This is a big game for both the Wings and Bolts — if Detroit wins, they have a chance to leap-frog in the standings and take over…

Red Wings Rumblings Well, most players are on vacation right now, while a select few are getting ready for the start of the NHL’s Four Nations Face-Off tonight. It will be Team Canada vs Lucas Raymond and Team Sweden for the first game. Puck drop is 8:00 PM ET — watch it on TNT, truTV, or stream via Max. Dylan Larkin and Team USA will play Team Finland on Friday night. Khan has a column…

Red Wings Rumblings The Wings have been idle since Tuesday, and since then the playoff picture has tightened up. Detroit is now in the second wild card spot behind Ottawa by a point, and just one point back from Tampa for the third spot in the Atlantic. Detroit has a game in hand over the Senators, while the Bolts have a game in hand over the Wings. This is likely going to be the scenario for… Source ...
Red Wings Rumblings The Detroit Red Wings are on a heater again! For a second time under Todd McLellan, the Wings have put together a seven-game win streak. They swept their four-game road trip out west. Detroit scored four goals last night and took the game against Seattle to a shootout, resulting in a 5-4 win against the Kraken. I’ll admit that I didn’t catch the whole game — kinda…

This (very successful) road trip ends tonight in Seattle. The Red Wings are looking to add to their six-game heater that dates back to December 29th. Tonight’s game is a late start, and it’s a school night… So I won’t blame you if you choose to sleep. Not expecting any major lineup changes, but I guess there’s a chance JT Compher could play. Cam Talbot will get the start in net.

Red Wings Rumblings Let’s start with the Grand Rapids Griffins… Their season has taken a bit of a turn — they are win-less in the month of February and have dropped five games in a row. Doesn’t help that Detroit has taken some key players (Kasper, Soderblom), but it’s been pretty ugly. This team should not be slumping like this. They were on top of The AHL’s Central Division about a month ago…

Should be a fun day of hockey, friends! All four teams in the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off tournament are in action today. Should be a real good pair of games. If you’re watching and would like to get involved with some banter and fun, stick around this open thread and hang out in the comments section! Sweden vs Finland — 1:00 PM ET on ABC Lucas Raymond and Team Sweden will be looking…

Red Wings Rumblings Happy Victory Monday to all who celebrate! How about those Red Wings? Currently riding as six-game win streak after last night’s OT win in Vancouver — Detroit is 7-2-1 in their last 10 games, making them one of the three hottest teams in the Eastern Conference. Last night’s win put the Wings at 59 points, which has them sitting in the first wild card spot for the time…

Get those coffee makers ready, folks. We’ve got a late night ahead of us. The Red Wings come into Calgary on the heels of a gutsy shootout win against the Edmonton Oilers. The Flames recently put together one of those “hockey trades” that brought Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to their lineup. It’s a tough matchup, but a winnable game for the Wings no doubt. The lineup I have posted here…

Red Wings Rumblings The Red Wings are capping off the month of January with a four-game win streak after last night’s shootout victory in Edmonton. If you were able to stay up through the whole game — good on ya, because I was passed out just before the third period even started. It was a monster night for Alex Lyon, who stopped 45 of 47 shots and slammed the door shut in the shootout…

Red Wings Rumblings It’s another 4 Nations Face-Off day for the NHL, but now the tournament swings from Montreal to Boston. Saturday was a great day for the NHL with this tournament. Both games were highly entertaining and provided some of the best (and worst if you’re Jordan Binnington) the league has to offer. It started with Finland upsetting Sweden in OT — tough loss for the Swedes…

Red Wings Rumblings While Team USA and Team Canada prepare for the 4 Nations Face-Off Championship Thursday night in Boston, it’s back to business for every Red Wing not named Dylan Larkin. The team has returned for practice in a “mini training camp style.” There’s a lot of preparation as the Wings will return to action Saturday night and jump right back into it on Sunday. Both games are at…

It’s been a wild season in Hockeytown for reasons we don’t need to recap today, but with the Four Nations break, I decided to compile a prospect round-up. Last year, I provided some updates in the form of a league-by-league look at how players were progressing. This year, I decided to take on the fool’s errand of ranking Detroit’s prospects, which I think can help provide a little more context.

Red Wings Rumblings That’s a wrap for the NHL 4 Nations Face-Off, after Team Canada eliminated Team USA in the championship game thanks to an overtime goal from Connor McDavid. I’d say this tournament was an overwhelming success for the NHL, despite some light bedlam with injury rules. Both Canada and USA seem to have reignited the rivalry ahead of the Olympics, and that’s simply a good thing…

We did it, folks. We made it back to Red Wings hockey. I am proud of each and every single one of you.The Wings return to action following the 4 Nations Face-Off with a back-to-back homestand. A tough schedule ahead for Detroit as they try and carve into the playoff standings, and it starts with the Minnesota Wild early Saturday. You’ll have to pardon me for today’s lineup, because it’…
