They have top priority with waivers now so they've had a chance to get a QB. Sure Orton and McNabb aren't the best, but they can't be any worse then what the Colts have.
Last year Rodgers went down with the concussion, Flynn nearly led the Pack to an upset of the Pats in his first pro start. Great teams can win without their star, the Colts have proved they're a good team but not a great team.
I don't think you read my original post.
It explains everything. Yea I did and I don't buy it. Their have been options out there, not ideal but they would've worked. He had the chance to get somebody, even if he was to be cut later. Did the Packers have time to go get somebody when Rodgers got a concussion last year? No they had young depth ready to step in and step up, something the Colts clearly don't. Rodgers is young and has a lot more years left than Peyton, but yet they had somebody else to play that was young and decent. Maybe the Colts need to finally look at drafting for the future, obviously they thought Peyton was invisible. Any good coach would know he needs a good backup so they aren't in trouble when something happens. Sure nobody expected Peyton to be gone this long, but at the end of the day the bottom line stays the same that the Colts weren't ready. It all comes back to Cadwell, a failed job at coaching and planning here.
