The Chicago Bulls are getting set to retire the jersey of Derrick Rose on January 24th when they take on the Boston Celtics at the United Center, honoring the Chicago native and former MVP. The celebration of Rose’s career will continue and it will be an emotional night at the United Center.
But ahead of the retirement, the Bulls and Rose teamed up for a very special collaboration.
The co-branded retail collection with team legend Derrick Rose featuring 20 items including a hoodie, letterman jacket and several shirts that will be available for purchase beginning on Jan. 24 exclusively at the United Center in the Madhouse Team Store and online at shop.bulls.com.
The Bulls collaborated closely with Rose throughout the design process to reflect his career, Chicago roots and iconic moments on and off the court. The Rose Collection contains 20 items, spanning from a vintage letterman jacket and graphic t-shirts to snapback hats and a custom hoodie.
Items will be available in limited quantities when the United Center opens to the public from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and the entire collection becomes available both in-store and online when gates open at 5 p.m.

For Bulls fans, this is a MUST have collection. The collection includes several different apparel options including shirts, jackets, hats and more. Plus, accessories like a a basketball as well as SLAM magazine covers.
If you’re a Rose fan or a fan of the Bulls and lived through that era, this is a MUST have. Check out the full collection below.
Key items from the collection include:
- Hoodie ($110): On the back of the hoodie reads the phrase “Do you want to be good or great?”, a reference to Rose’s speech at halftime of Derrick Rose Night last season.
- Letterman Jacket ($350): The black jacket brings a throwback feel to the collection while honoring Rose’s roots. On the right arm of the jacket, three patches recognize Rose’s career milestones and pay tribute to his three children – PJ, London and Layla.
- Short-Sleeve Shirts ($50): Two t-shirts display moments from Rose’s career with the Bulls – one an image of Rose blowing a kiss to his family in the crowd ahead of a game during his MVP season (2010-11) and another a dunk against the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 season. The team will also sell a Mitchell & Ness team caricature t-shirt, depicting the 2010-11 Chicago Bulls.
- Long-Sleeve Shirt ($60): A long-sleeve shirt jersey, where the Bulls team name and No. 1 lettering is constructed out of roses. The name on the back reads “Forever”, nodding to Rose’s No. 1 jersey being permanently retired by the franchise.
- Snapback Hats ($45): Two snapback hats honor Rose with one featuring the Bulls logo on top of a red rose and the other reads “Chicago’s Rose” across the front.
- Wilson Basketball ($40): Special edition basketball designed with elements of Derrick Rose’s No. 1 jersey. All proceeds from the basketball will support After School Matters, a Chicago Bulls Charities grantee and local nonprofit dedicated to providing innovative out-of-school programs for teenagers.
- SLAM Collaboration ($48): The Bulls also worked with SLAM to convert iconic print and digital covers featuring Rose into graphic t-shirts ($48). The shirts will be sold exclusively in-person at the Madhouse Team Store beginning on Jan. 24.
The Rose Collection also includes Mitchell & Ness Swingman ($130) and Authentic jerseys ($300). Plus, a jersey plush pillow ($50), bag charm ($35) and a lenticular 3D poster ($30).
Fans can also purchase a commemorative ticket to memorialize the night. In-person at the Madhouse Team Store, fans can customize their commemorative ticket with their section, row and seat number, which will then be shipped to their preferred mailing address.
