What do you call soft drinks where you live? Some people living in northern United States call soft drinks pop. I live in Tennessee, and I'm pretty sure we call it soda. What about you? :)

I call it flavored carbonated drink.

No, just kidding. I'm in Iowa, and it seems like most people here call it pop.

I tend to call it pop for the most part, but I usually correct myself because I feel like I sound funky.

What we call soft drinks is basically just the drinks that you can get from the soda dispensers at fast food places. Lol.

I call them soda, and so do most of my friends. I was surprised to see that the majority of Kansan City folks call it pop. I don't hear pop too often around here. I was also surprised to see on the map that a majority of southerners call it coke. That doesn't even make sense to me, since Coke is a brand of soda. I'd understand Cola more than Coke.

I call them soda if you mean just Pepsi and such. I'm a big fan of soda and am tryin' to cut it from my diet. lol

Just Sodas, and I come from the South where everyone calls them 'Cokes' regardless of brand.

"What kind of coke do you want?" "I'll take the Dr. Pepper."
