Stats Show How Steph Curry Is Dominating In The Month Of February

Steph Curry can still play incredible basketball for his Golden State Warriors.

In fact, sometimes it feels like he’s the only one playing well.

Curry has been terrific in February, according to stats released by ClutchPoints on X.

During the month, he has averaged 31.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 5.3 three-pointers during his seven games played.

With more than a week to go, can Curry improve these numbers even more before March rolls around?

For the season, Curry is averaging 23.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists on 43.4 percent from the field and 39.0 percent from the three-point line.

His stats are down from previous years, mostly because Curry has hit a couple of rough patches in 2024-25.

But maybe February is a sign that he has shaken that off and is back to his normal self.

His fans sure hope so because the Warriors have dug themselves into quite a hole.

They are the 10th team in the West with a 28-27 record, but that is actually better than earlier when they were vying for a spot in the play-in tournament.

Over the last few weeks, the team has changed with the addition of Jimmy Butler.

Nothing is certain, but it feels like the team is headed in the right direction.

If Curry continues to play like this over the next two months, the Warriors might be in a prime position when the playoffs begin.

Curry is heating up, but he needs the rest of his roster to do the same.

He will lead the way, with others like Butler and Jonathan Kuminga supporting him, and the Warriors might be able to carve a path to the postseason.

Steph Curry Gets Honest About His Big Shot In The Olympics

Basketball - Olympic Games Paris 2024: Day 15

During the 2024 Paris Olympic gold medal game, Steph Curry of Team USA went absolutely crazy.

We all know that Curry is no stranger to making incredible three-pointers, but he really went above and beyond during the final match against France.

Speaking with Netflix, Curry talked about the flurry of threes that he rained down on France and how he knew it was time to bust out his trademark “night, night” gesture.

“You just have a feeling when you know it’s over and it’s time to put the kids to sleep,” Curry said, per Legion Hoops.

— Legion Hoops (@LegionHoops) February 18, 2025

With the gold medal on the line and the Americans needing Curry more than ever, the Golden State Warriors legend pulled out all the stops.

He sank eight three-pointers during the Olympic final and four of them came during the last three minutes of the game.

It felt like Curry couldn’t miss, and Americans were leaping out of their seats cheering him on.

In fact, Curry mentioned how hyped up he felt when he looked at the sidelines and saw Carmelo Anthony cheering him on.

Powered by Curry’s wild fourth quarter, the Americans won the game 98-87, and Team USA earned a fifth straight Olympic title.

This was Curry’s first time at the Olympics, and it may have been his last.

We aren’t sure where he will be when the 2028 games roll around, and retirement may have already arrived at that point.

But no matter what happens, nothing can change the fact that Curry lit up the Olympics during that game and reminded the entire world why he’s considered the best shooter of all time.

Adam Silver Speaks Out About Criticism Of NBA Referees

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver speaks to the media during a press conference as part of the 2022 All-Star Weekend at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on February 19, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio.

For years, NBA fans, coaches, and players have been quite vocal about the officials.

Their work has often times left plenty to be desired, and the league’s Last 2 Minute reports haven’t done much to help.

While those have helped with transparency when the league admits the referees made wrong calls — which doesn’t happen very often — it has also shed light on how they might not be doing a good job.

That’s why Stephen Curry recently claimed that he would love to see the referees’ grading system made public one day.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, however, doesn’t believe that should happen.

“The officials have their own union… human resources issues, nobody necessarily wants to have their employment record published,” he said.
Steph Curry: “I'd want to see the refs grading system probably. Let that be more public, the same way our stats are shown.”

Adam Silver: “The officials have their own union… human resources issues, nobody necessarily wants to have their employment record published.”

(via… pic.twitter.com/5B2TvsI7Tp

— Legion Hoops (@LegionHoops) February 16, 2025

Of course, that makes perfect sense.

Then again, everybody wants some accountability.

It’s not that people want them to lose their jobs or anything, but people usually get fired when they’re not doing what they’re supposed to do.

Being a referee is an incredibly demanding job, and it’s most definitely a hundred times harder than the average fan thinks it is.

Also, human error is a part of the game; that’s just how things happen in sports.

But it’s never a good thing when referees are a part of the conversation.

All the fans want to see is a fair game.

Superstar treatment, all the foul-baiting, and some blatantly missed no-calls are just hurting the game.

Maybe the league will have to work closer with current and former players to make sure to make the necessary adjustments to solve this issue, as it’s been long enough already.

Jimmy Butler Has Been Dominating Since Trade With Warriors

Golden State Warriors v Houston Rockets

It’s still a small sample size, but Jimmy Butler’s time with the Golden State Warriors has been successful so far.

Butler has felt consistent with his new team and the numbers back that up.

According to Hoop Central, Butler has been on a roll with the Warriors.

It started with his first game in Golden State when he scored 25 points, four assists, and two rebounds.

That was followed by a 20-point, six-assist, and nine-rebound game.

Then he scored 21 points, seven assists, and nine rebounds.

Since then, he has scored 19 points, four assists, and eight rebounds and put up 17 points, seven assists, and three rebounds on Friday night against the Sacramento Kings.

The Warriors have gone 4-1 during that time, and people are feeling much better about Butler on the team.

20 PTS – 6 AST – 9 REB

Is this really a surprise, or should people have seen it coming?

Butler is a strong basketball player and someone who has repeatedly shown that he can lead a team and play well with others.

Of course, that all became clouded by his final few months with the Miami Heat.

During that time, Butler did not want to be there and made life very difficult for the team’s front office.

But these five games with the Warriors are a good reminder of the sort of player Butler can be.

However, will it last?

If the Warriors have any shot of reaching the playoffs and going far, Butler will need to keep playing like this, and the rest of the roster has to remain powerful too.

Butler’s time with the Warriors has gotten off to a good start, but now it’s up to him to keep it going.

Stephen Curry Reveals His Honest Thoughts About Jimmy Butler

Golden State Warriors v Chicago Bulls

The Golden State Warriors have won four of their last five games and things seem to be clicking with newcomer Jimmy Butler.

Just a couple of weeks ago, there were so many worries about the Warriors, but it feels like they may be figuring things out.

Following Friday night’s win over the Sacramento Kings, Steph Curry spoke to the press about how well things are working with Butler.

“We’re starting to figure out a good chemistry with him so yeah it’s been an easy transition,” Curry said, per 95.7 The Game.

Steph on Jimmy pic.twitter.com/FInykOzKgE

— 95.7 The Game (@957thegame) February 22, 2025

Curry listed the reasons why Butler is beneficial to the team, and it sounds a lot like he is speaking about himself.

He said that Butler is able to read the floor and his opponents well and find his teammates with ease.

Curry stated that people have forgotten how great a facilitator Butler is.

Curry is also seen as one of the best facilitators in the game and someone who opens up shots for himself and others.

So it sounds like Butler is bringing more of the great stuff that Curry already provides, and it’s helping.

During Friday’s game, Curry posted 20 points and six assists while Butler put up 17 points, seven assists, and three steals.

Many Warriors fans were worried about Butler when he came to Golden State because they thought he wouldn’t be a good fit and the team chemistry could be disrupted.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case right now, and the Warriors are looking more cohesive than they have in months.

They are the ninth team in the West, but they want to climb higher.

Will that be possible as they continue to build stronger chemistry and cohesion with Butler on board?

Warriors Wore Interesting Shirts For Andre Iguodala’s Jersey Retirement

The Golden State Warriors are set to honor Andre Iguodala’s remarkable legacy this Sunday, raising his #9 jersey to the rafters at Chase Center.

The special ceremony will follow the Warriors’ matchup against the Dallas Mavericks.

Iguodala joins an elite group of Warriors legends, becoming only the seventh player in franchise history to have his jersey retired, alongside icons like Wilt Chamberlain, Rick Barry, and Chris Mullin.

The Warriors are pulling out all the stops to celebrate their former star, with players already sporting custom ‘I want Iguodala’ shirts ahead of the ceremony.

While Iguodala’s single All-Star selection might seem modest, his impact on the game transcends individual accolades.

He’s in rare company – 13 Hall of Famers never made an All-Star team, and four others matched his lone appearance.

His role in the Warriors’ dynasty proved pivotal, particularly when Steve Kerr made the bold decision to bring him off the bench.

Iguodala embraced this change, and when the stakes were highest in the NBA Finals, he stepped into the starting lineup to take on the challenge of defending LeBron James.

His achievements place him in exceptional company.

Iguodala is among just 12 players in NBA history to combine multiple All-Defensive team selections with four championships and an All-Star appearance – a prestigious group featuring basketball royalty like Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kobe Bryant.

As his Hall of Fame eligibility approaches in 2027, Iguodala’s place among basketball’s all-time greats appears secure, making this jersey retirement a fitting tribute to his extraordinary career.

Bill Simmons Warns To Not Count Out The Warriors This Season

Dallas Mavericks v Golden State Warriors

(Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)

Did the Golden State Warriors pull off the most important trade of the season when they acquired Jimmy Butler?

A lot of people felt Golden State may have been making a mistake when they committed to Butler after the collapse of his relationship with the Miami Heat.

But, so far, Butler looks like a great pick-up for the Warriors.

Speaking on his show, via The Ringer, Bill Simmons said that Butler has a new life with the Warriors and he is clearly very happy with his teammates.

The Warriors are looking a lot better with Butler in the mix, and Simmons said he’s not counting the team out.

“I think they’re legitimately dangerous,” Simmons said.

— The Ringer (@ringer) February 24, 2025

Butler looks like a great counterpart to Steph Curry, much like Klay Thompson was for many years.

Although some people thought his skill set would make him redundant on the Warriors, Butler is actually a terrific complement to what Curry does.

But that’s not the only reason that Butler is looking so good at Golden State.

He appears to be happier, more committed, and more driven.

Plus, his enthusiasm is much higher, and he is obviously more comfortable with the Warriors than he was with the Heat.

The question is if it’ll be enough.

Will the entry of Butler move the needle enough to get the Warriors back into playoff contention?

They are definitely in much better shape and are currently qualified for the playoffs if they were to start today.

But there is still a lot of season left, and they will need to keep it up.

Draymond Green Has Honest Admission About Jimmy Butler

Golden State Warriors fans noticed something encouraging and different during Friday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

Standing on the sidelines was Jimmy Butler, who had a pen and clipboard and was drawing up plays for his fellow Warriors, including Draymond Green.

Speaking on his podcast, Green talked about that moment and said that Butler is “an over-communicator” who is “gonna come to you before something ever happened.”

Green said that getting advice from such a smart and powerful basketball mind is exactly what he wants, and this is further proof that Butler is a great addition to Golden State.

— The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis (@DraymondShow) February 23, 2025

Butler has now played six games with the Warriors, and the team has gone 5-1 during that time.

During his short tenure with the team, he has averaged 20.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.

A lot of people were worried about him when he joined the team, especially because things got so bad with the Miami Heat.

They wondered if he could be committed to another team and if he could play like his former self.

So far, he has been great, and the Warriors are happy to have him.

He has come to the squad at the right time and is helping them look like they could be in the playoffs again.

Nothing is promised, and things could change between now and the postseason.

But Butler is doing a lot to help the Warriors, both on the court and on the sidelines during timeouts.

Should we expect to see more of Butler acting as coach soon?

Jimmy Butler Believes Warriors Are The Best Team He’s Ever Been On

The Golden State Warriors have been in a slow decaying process over the last couple of years, but the arrival of Jimmy Butler has apparently infused them with some new life.

They have won five of six games with Butler in uniform, and the six-time All-Star seems to be taking quite a bit of pressure off of Stephen Curry, who has looked like his old self lately.

Butler went to the NBA Finals twice with the Miami Heat, who sent him to Golden State earlier this month, but according to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Butler believes this Golden State team is the best he’s ever played on, per Smiley.

Shams says Jimmy Butler believes the Warriors are the best team he’s ever been apart of

pic.twitter.com/HkzntohkTz

— Smiley (@30GotNext) February 24, 2025

Just under three years ago, the Warriors won their fourth NBA championship of the Curry era, but each season since, they have taken step after step toward the league’s underground.

They were under .500 when Butler made his debut, but they now hold a 30-27 record and are currently in ninth place in the Western Conference.

If they reach the play-in tournament, no one will want to face them there, or even in the playoffs, should they qualify for the playoffs.

The real potential of a Warriors team with Butler likely won’t be seen until next season when it has a full training camp with him and is perhaps able to add a few more pieces this summer to augment the roster.

A little more size and offensive firepower could give the Warriors a puncher’s chance at going very far in next season’s playoffs.

Kevin Durant Sends Message To Andre Iguodala On Jersey Retirement

Golden State Warriors v Phoenix Suns

The Golden State Warriors pulled off a powerful win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, which was obviously cause for celebration.

There was another cause too, which was the jersey retirement of Andre Iguodala.

To mark the special occasion, former Warriors star Kevin Durant posted a video celebrating his old teammate.

The video, shared by Alex on X, featured Durant remembering all the great times he and Iguodala had together and honoring the four-time champion.

It was a nice, touching moment from Durant, years after he left the Warriors team.

(@Dubs408) February 23, 2025

Iguodala didn’t get his start with the Warriors, but many argue that he spent his most formative years there.

He came to the team after playing for the Philadelphia 76ers for eight years.

With the Warriors, he averaged 6.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

He was named an All-Star once and was also the Finals MVP in 2014-15.

By the time Durant came to the team, Iguodala’s career was starting to wind down, and he would soon play fewer and fewer minutes and become more of a player-coach.

He spent a couple of seasons with the Miami Heat before coming back to retire as a Warrior after the 2022–23 season.

Now, his jersey will hang in the rafters alongside other Warriors legends.

Durant hasn’t been with the Warriors in years, and there are rumors of him being unhappy about some of his time spent with Golden State.

But he is obviously very fond of Iguodala and wanted to take a moment to commemorate such a huge honor.

Is there any chance that Durant himself will have his jersey next to Iguodala’s someday?

Jimmy Butler Raves About Warriors’ Locker Room

Golden State Warriors v Chicago Bulls

The Golden State Warriors enjoyed their biggest victory of the Jimmy Butler era on Tuesday evening when they took down the Charlotte Hornets 128-92.

Following the game, Butler opened up about playing for his new team, how he feels, and what the vibe is like.

In short, he is extremely happy with Golden State.

“I really enjoy being in this locker room, being around these guys. Obviously, it’s fun to win. It’s also fun whenever I get to be myself every possession. On and off the floor,” Butler said, via 95.7 The Game.

— 95.7 The Game (@957thegame) February 26, 2025

This is a reassuring statement for Warriors fans because everyone knows what happens when Butler isn’t having fun.

Just weeks ago, he created a huge headache for the Miami Heat when he said he had lost the “joy” of playing basketball and didn’t think he could find it again.

That led to countless negative headlines, a ton of controversy, and a complete breakdown of his relationship with the Heat.

It also, of course, led to his move to the Warriors.

The joy seems to be back for Butler, and he has been all smiles since coming to the Bay Area.

And now the team is 6-1 since he joined, which is putting them in a much better position for the rest of the season and the playoffs.

The team—and Butler—had been written off by many people, but now everyone is being reminded of what they’re capable of.

Butler is happy and playing well, and the Warriors are surging over the last seven games.

He feels like himself again, and that is making all the difference.

Warriors Have Impressive Record Since Acquiring Jimmy Butler

Dallas Mavericks v Golden State Warriors

(Photo by Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images)

The Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night, and it wasn’t particularly close.

Their 126-102 victory was due in part to the hard work of Jimmy Butler, who has seemingly found his footing with the team.

With this win, the Warriors are looking much better than they were just weeks ago.

As pointed out by Hoop Central, they are now 5-1 in the Butler era and may not be slowing down any time soon.

Their five wins with Butler have come against the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings, and Mavericks.

During Sunday’s game, Butler posted 18 points, three rebounds, and five assists.

One of the most impressive things about the game is that he had just one turnover.

When his time with the Warriors began, Butler said he was unhappy with the amount of turnovers he was committing and promised to change that.

Sure enough, he has.

The Warriors still aren’t where they want to be and hold the ninth spot in the West with a 30-27 record.

But that’s much better than where they were previously, plus they look energized and focused in a way that fans haven’t seen all season long.

There are many people saying that Butler may have been the missing piece they needed all along.

Of course, there were many questions and concerns about him before he joined the team, especially because of all that happened between him and the Miami Heat.

But Butler seems like a great fit in Golden State, and the team has been on a tear since he joined.

For the first time in months, they actually look like playoff contenders again.

Colin Cowherd Says Steph Curry Has Changed His Sport More Than Any Athlete Ever

Charlotte Hornets v Golden State Warriors

Steph Curry has obviously earned his spot in the history of the NBA.

Even if his career ended today, he’d be a future Hall of Famer and largely considered the greatest shooter of all time.

Speaking on The Volume, Colin Cowherd went a bit further than that and said that Curry has changed his sport more than any other athlete ever.

The ways he transformed basketball haven’t been seen before in any sport, and Curry has quite literally altered how people play the game, perhaps forever.

“Steph Curry changed his sport more than any athlete ever”@colincowherd & @SherwoodStrauss discuss the impact of Steph Curry pic.twitter.com/I4EzqtajZw

— The Volume (@TheVolumeSports) February 27, 2025

Cowherd reminded fans just how much Curry has brought small-ball basketball to the forefront of the NBA.

When he entered the league, it was filled with more larger players who were physically dominating and overpowering.

But Curry’s arrival showed that there could be another path to greatness.

His reliance on shooting, especially from beyond the three-point line, opened the eyes of many fans and players.

Curry’s success has been off the charts and he is now a four-time champion and has the most three-pointers of all time.

As he found more and more success, NBA teams integrated three-point shooting into their plans, and up-and-coming stars attempted to shoot from beyond the arc.

None of them have been as successful as Curry and probably never will be, according to Cowherd.

Many will try, but no one will have a career like Curry’s and his impact will remain untouched and unquestioned.

There have been so many terrific athletes across multiple leagues, but does anyone come close to doing what Curry has since joining the NBA?

Draymond Green Names The Best Era In NBA History

Golden State Warriors v Los Angeles Clippers - Game Six

What’s the greatest era in NBA history?

That’s a question that will be debated until the end of time and a lot of people already have strong opinions about it.

One of those people is Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors.

He recently argued that the period featuring Kevin Durant with the Golden State Warriors is the greatest of all time.

“From 2015 to 2019, in my opinion, that was the best era of NBA basketball. The best five-year stretch. You may say it was the Showtime Lakers, but at the very least, it’s in the top three. And you coming to the Warriors elevated it. That era of basketball wouldn’t have been the same if you hadn’t joined. Your presence forced teams to build to compete against you. It elevated the game,” Green said, per NBACentral.

— NBACentral (@TheDunkCentral) February 27, 2025

Green has plenty of reasons to love that time because it resulted in two championships.

That was a period when the Warriors dominated the rest of the league, and Durant was a huge part of that.

When he came to the Warriors, people thought they would be able to beat any other squad in the league.

And, sure enough, that is what they did.

Durant immediately impacted the Warriors and elevated an already great team.

For his efforts, he got two championship rings and two Finals MVPs too.

While Green feels this was the best era in league history, others feel that it hurt the game of basketball because Durant coming to the Warriors was another example of a “superteam.”

There is still great debate about superteams and how they affect the rest of the NBA.

But the Warriors found a ton of success and media attention when Durant was on the roster, so one can understand why Green is so fond of this era.

Analyst Says Jimmy Butler Has Been A Perfect Match For Warriors

Charlotte Hornets v Golden State Warriors

There were worries about Jimmy Butler when he was traded to the Golden State Warriors, but the team has been thriving since his arrival.

A lot of people thought he wouldn’t be a good fit alongside Steph Curry and the rest of the team, and they didn’t know how head coach Steve Kerr would use him.

So far, things are working marvelously for Butler and Golden State—but can they keep it up?

Speaking on “Game Theory,” Sam Vecenie said that Butler is a perfect match for the Warriors, partly because he is “so smart and so good with his body” and can use his physicality to help the Warriors score.

Jimmy Butler & the Warriors have been a PERFECT MATCH so far! @Sam_Vecenie @MotorCityHoops pic.twitter.com/JPDjXCsN9x

— Game Theory w/ Sam Vecenie (@GameTheorySamV) February 28, 2025

Vecenie claimed that the concerns about Butler should be put to rest because it’s obvious that Kerr has figured out how he can use Butler to the team’s advantage.

Even with the complaints leveled against him, most people agree that Butler has a very high basketball IQ, and that is coming into play with the Warriors.

The man knows how to read the floor, his teammates, and his opponents very well and can outsmart the competition.

He has shown he knows how to adapt and work well with others throughout his career.

Miami Heat fans might argue against that because of how everything fell apart over the last few months, but there is no doubt that Butler is an experienced and intelligent player.

Because of that, he has fit into the rotation with Golden State, and he knows what he is supposed to do.

He is embracing his new role and seems happy doing so, which is really helping the Warriors.

He adds a level of physicality to the team, but his on-court strategy and smarts cannot be ignored because it is part of what makes him so special.

Steph Curry might be 36 years old, but he has still managed to be one of the best current players in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors continue to benefit from having him on their roster, a player who has changed the game of basketball forever.

He’s made history in so many ways and added to it during a recent matchup against the Orlando Magic, where he put up 56 points, making 12 three-pointers in the process.

As NBA TV pointed out on X, this was Curry’s 14th career game with over 50 points and the third game of his career with at least 12 made three-pointers.

The Magic had no answer for him all night, and he was able to have his way with them throughout the matchup.

Fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing when this stat line was posted, and they made sure to share their thoughts on social media.

Curry has made headlines throughout his career, but fans are still in awe of his greatness, as he continues to outdo himself.

He will retire eventually and not be on the court anymore, but his legacy will live on for a long time.

As one fan mentioned, it will be difficult for anyone to pass up his three-point records, and he’s still adding to them on a nightly basis.

Warriors Have Been Dominating Since Trading For Jimmy Butler

This season’s NBA trade deadline was arguably the craziest in league history, and the Golden State Warriors played a part in it as they swung a blockbuster deal to acquire Jimmy Butler.

Butler and the Miami Heat had been at odds with each other all season, and the Warriors finally ended that saga by agreeing to trade Andrew Wiggins and other pieces for the star forward.

Golden State reportedly was one of the most aggressive teams at the deadline as it was going nowhere with its group.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green can still run with the best teams, but adding Butler now gives the Warriors a legitimate Big 3 and someone who can take the load off the longtime pair.

Since Butler’s come on board, Golden State has roared back up the standings and is playing its best basketball of the season.

“The Warriors since acquiring Jimmy: 7-1 record, 122.0 PPG (6th), 31.5 APG (1st), 11.6 SPG (2nd), 106.3 DefRtg (1st), 106.0 Opp PPG (3rd). Before acquiring Jimmy: 25-26 record, 111.5 PPG (20th), 28.6 APG (9th), 8.6 SPG (9th), 112.2 DefRtg (10th) 111.9 Opp PPG (10th),” the NBA wrote on X.

Although Butler looked checked out in Miami, he’s clearly proven to be more than capable of helping Golden State win games.

The versatile forward is able to man the offense while playing strong defense on the other end.

He’s given head coach Steve Kerr another weapon to use on both ends of the floor, and the Warriors now look like a legitimate playoff threat.

Fans Are Remembering An Iconic Stephen Curry Moment Today

Portland Trail Blazers v Golden State Warriors - Game Five

The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors were downright historic and Steph Curry had perhaps his best season ever that year.

There were so many great moments during that season and one of them was remembered fondly on Thursday morning.

On X, the Warriors reposted a video featuring a game-winning three-pointer that Curry put up during a huge game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The shot, which Curry heaved from the Thunder logo, left Mike Breen screaming, “Bang! Bang! Oh, what a shot from Curry!”

All these years later, those words still echo through the Warriors’ history.

"Curry, way downtown… BANG! BANG! Oh, what a shot from Curry!"

On Thursday morning, fans were sharing their memories about this famous shot.

A lot of people said this bucket was the one that inspired many other basketball players to perform like Curry, or at least try to.

But no matter how much they try, no one can be Curry and this moment is proof of that.

This was my reaction when that play happened:

"NO NO NO NO! YESSSSSSSSSSS! LETS GOOOOOO!"

This was and still is @StephenCurry30's signature moment, because from that point forward, everyone wanted to emulate this. However its often imitated, BUT NEVER EQUALED!#DubNation

This was a great time for the Warriors, part of their legendary season that resulted in 73 wins.

Sure, they didn’t end up winning the Finals, but people will talk about this season for the rest of time.

What a time man

It certainly was something special and viewers were in for a treat from beginning to end.

Curry’s 2015-16 season was wire-to-wire magic, and he had a slew of amazing games, including this one.

It’s important that fans look back and fondly remember Curry at his peak, because there may never be another shooter like him.

Warriors Owner Reveals His Honest Thoughts About Jimmy Butler Trade

Things fell apart between Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat during their final few months together.

Because of that, some Golden State Warriors fans wanted nothing to do with Butler when it was announced he was joining Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and the rest of the team.

But Warriors owner Joe Lacob has a lot of faith in Butler and thinks that he could be a perfect fit in the Bay Area.

“This should be a very happy marriage,” Lacob said, per NBC Sports.
"… This should be a very happy marriage."

Joe Lacob shared why he's confident Jimmy Butler's Warriors tenure won't go sidewayshttps://t.co/0G9EUsU4oa

— Warriors on NBCS (@NBCSWarriors) February 27, 2025

Lacob said that he and his staff had many conversations about the Butler trade and thought long and hard about what it would mean.

After research and honest introspection, Lacob came to the conclusion that things would work out between his team and Butler.

That seems to be the case so far because the Warriors have been on a strong winning streak since Butler came to the team.

But there are still fears that it won’t last and that Butler’s attitude might sour when things go south, just like they did in Miami.

The Warriors knew the risks when they traded for Butler and still felt that he would be a great addition.

They know they will have to keep him happy, but they feel the culture they have created in Golden State will do that.

Of course, the same things were said about the Heat.

For the majority of his time with Miami, Butler was a huge part of the team’s culture and chemistry—until he wasn’t.

Fans might be worried about history repeating itself with the Warriors, but Butler is happy and seems at home, at least for right now.

Chris Broussard Believes The Warriors Are Now Contenders

The Golden State Warriors were doing nothing more than barely treading water over the first half of this season, and it looked like there was a real chance they would miss the playoffs for the second year in a row.

But nearly a month ago, they swung a big trade for veteran star forward Jimmy Butler, and he seems to have revitalized a franchise that has been in steady decline since winning its most recent NBA championship in 2022.

Golden State has won eight of their last 10 games, and they have risen to sixth place in the Western Conference, even though Butler hasn’t been putting up big numbers.

It led Chris Broussard to boldly proclaim on Fox Sports 1’s “First Things First” that they have become legit contenders because he feels Butler is an ideal fit thanks to his mid-range game.

“Jimmy Butler is perfect for them,” Broussard said.

Butler has given the Warriors that legitimate second star they haven’t had ever since Klay Thompson, who left to join the Dallas Mavericks last summer, suffered a torn ACL and torn Achilles a few years ago.

The six-time All-Star is averaging a modest 16.0 points a game and shooting just 43.3 percent from the field with his new team, but he has seemingly energized Stephen Curry, whose numbers were below par at the time of the trade.

Curry has put up 29.5 points a game and is shooting 50.8 percent overall and 41.9 percent from 3-point land in his last 10 games, and he is starting to look like his old self again.

Playoff positioning, however, is going to hurt Golden State — they sit in sixth place in the Western Conference and are four games behind the fifth-place Houston Rockets — which means they will have a steep uphill climb in the playoffs.

Perhaps their real potential with Butler won’t be seen until next season when they have a full training camp with him, not to mention a full offseason to add some reinforcements.
