The Lions

yea OK whatever. Saints couldn't beat the Pack at home, they're a better team that could easily destroy the Lions. Stafford will be done soon and then I'll laugh when they finish 7-9 and miss the playoffs. Even if they some how make the playoffs they won't get far, no team that's one dimensional ever does. Kinda hard to have respect for a team that has the dirtiest defensive linemen in the league, Suh is a prick. 3fines already and not even two years in the league, well on his way to become the most hated player outside of the Lions fans. I have no respect for dirty players that can't control themselves. Let Suh have another hit, maybe Goodell will get the hint that its time to suspend the idiot. Take him out, knock Stafford out and its bye bye even somewhat average Lions.

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but either way it's getting annoying.

I don't think I'm being mean, just presenting the cold hard facts. I don't care for Suh, too aggressive and lacks self control(both shown via flags and fines). Hopefully with experience the control will come, good player the discipline needs to come for me to respect him. If I see Stafford make it through the year without missing a game, then I might be inclined to believe his health issues are behind him.

Don't try to say they'd be fine without Stafford, we've all seen how bad they tank without him. Run offense sucks, no pass=uh oh. At least Rodgers can do it himself if needed. Yes I continue to compare the Lions to the Pack, but its gonna come down to these two in the NFC probably so it only makes sense. Last year 11guys on the IR, mostly starters no less, and the Pack won it all. The Lions had one big one, Stafford, and did nothing as expected. Healthy this year they're great, what happens when they start to fall?

When you lose one of your best players things don't look pretty, that's logical. Suh is the next Ray Lewis. Let him play his game. I never had a problem with Ray Lewis. I won't have a problem with Suh. Great teams have depth and can get by without stars and their best player. I don't consider the Colts a great team because they obviously lack depth to make up for the absence of their best player in Peyton. I would however consider the Pats an OK team, they've done OK without Brady. Two of the better teams in the NFL, I only see one as a great team since just one can do well without their best player. If the Lions could do well without their best player I would have no issue classifying them as a great team. I don't even classify the Packers as a great team, they did OK without most of their best guys last year but barley making the playoffs makes me consider them just a good team.

Anyway, not only is Stafford one of our best players, he is our QB. The QB is the most important position in the league. Take Aaron Rodgers out of the Packers and they certainly won't be undefeated, not close. Not undefeated, but Flynn did nearly lead them to an upset of the Pats in week15 when Rodgers was out. It was his first NFL game, the Pack lost 34-27. Give him a game or two he'd be doing decent. That's more than you can say about any backup the Lions have.

Sure thing... Wingnut, don't be mean.

No one's being mean.

I think the Lions are overrated this year. Yes their good, but they haven't played many tough teams, and haven't even played that good in their wins. In two if their games they had go cone back from more than 20 points down which is not good.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Lions. That doesn't mean they're not my favorite team. I've been a fan my whole life, and thats hard to do when you're following possibly the worst team in NFL history.

You guys have no idea. No idea at all.

I hate bandwagon fans, either you like the team or you don't. A few weeks ago you loved them, 2losses in a row and you hate them?! The epitome of a bandwagoner if I've ever seen one...

Btw Stafford had a walking boot on and is having an MRI done tomorrow.

Really? Your already giving up on your team. I've been a Seahawks fan my whole life and look how they've been doing lately. :P This is a classic example of a bandwagon fan.

You guys have no idea. No idea at all. Excuse me I was a Lions fan. Pressure from people around me led to the switch. I do know what its like and to be honest I don't feel sorry for you or any other Lions fan. You choose what team to follow and take the good with the bad.

Lol you was a lions fan? This is pretty priceless. This conversations over. the only reason i even liked them a little bit was they were the hometown team, when your family is a fan of a rival you realize change needs to happen. in all honesty i still root for them, except when they face the Pack. If the Pack were to lose for 10years like the Lions did i would deal with it, just as i did with a local minor league team.

Are you kidding me? The Bengals haven't won a playoff game since I was born, and they have never won a Championship. The Lions have won 4 NFL Championships. Yet you still call them the worst team in NFL history...

They're doing better than almost any other team right now, and you're still complaining? In '08, the Bengals lost their first 8 games, and ended the season 4-11-1, the whole time being rooted for by me.

You're showing a perfect example of what it is to be a fair weather fan.
