The San Antonio Spurs are currently undefeated, going 3-0 in their first set of games.

Victor Wembanyama has been the subject of countless headlines, but the whole team is doing well, including their much-talked-about rookie.

According to NBA History, Dylan Harper is now the youngest guard in league history to record a game of 20+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 0 turnovers.

Before Harper, it was Andrew Wiggins who held that honor.

After today's game vs. Brooklyn, Dylan Harper (19y, 238d) became the youngest guard in NBA history to record a game of 20+ PTS, 5+ REB, 5+ AST & 0 TOs

The Spurs have been very lucky in the draft over the last few years.

They have been able to acquire Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and now Harper.

Wembanyama and Castle both won Rookie of the Year and immediately made their impacts on the team, and it looks like Harper will be doing the same.

He was chosen as the second overall pick, celebrated for his size but also his versatility.

He’s a big guard, at 6-foot-6, but he can still move and handle the ball with precision and speed.

During his first three games, he has averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists on 48.6 percent from the field.

Harper is the definition of a promising rookie: young and driven with a set of skills already on display.

But he has room to grow, and that is one of the most exciting and promising things about him.

This is a team that has been on the verge of greatness for a few years, and it really does feel like the Spurs could be taking a turn for the better this year.

With Wembanyama creating what may be a historic season, San Antonio is currently one of the most-feared teams in their conference.

Harper is one of the many reasons why Spurs fans feel that the future is bright for their team.

This squad is special, and not just because of Wembanyama.

NBA fans may be witnessing the start of an MVP season for Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.

The 21-year-old star has been the talk of the league and has been nothing but astonishing during his first four games of the season.

Because of that, the Spurs are now 4-0 for the first time in years, and they could be flawless through five games.

When he was told that’s never happened, Wembanyama sounded optimistic about leading his team to more wins.

“Spurs have never went 5-0? I’m really surprised. Let’s beat that record,” Wembanyama said.

During these four games, Wembanyama has averaged 31.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and a league-high 4.8 blocks per game.

For comparison, he produced 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and a league-high 3.8 blocks last season.

Wembanyama is clearly just getting better on both ends of the court.

His defense was already top-notch, but his offense has blossomed a lot in some very exciting and brilliant ways.

A lot of people expected Wembanyama to climb to a whole new level this season, and most people predicted he’d be named Defensive Player of the Year.

But with numbers like this, he’s now a candidate for MVP too, and his Spurs are doing better than expected.

They haven’t been to the playoffs in a very long time, but Wembanyama’s explosive season could change all of that.

Even if they don’t claim a 5-0 record, it’s obvious that Wembanyama is quickly becoming one of the best players in the league.

Multiple awards and a place in the NBA history books could be waiting for him.

When the new NBA season began, a lot of people believed that Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs would be a frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year.

After just a single week of playing, Wembanyama is now in contention for a lot more than that.

Speaking on his podcast, Draymond Green talked about Wembanyama and said he could earn the three most-coveted trophies in the league.

“We must talk about Wemby. He stay at this pace, at this level, he’s gonna be like MVP, DPOY, Most Improved Player. He’s going to be in a position to compete for all those awards. When you look at him, you can only sit and wonder, ‘What type of player is it going to take to guard him?'” Green said.

Wembanyama is the clear odds-on favorite for Defensive Player of the Year, but his first four games have also thrown him into the mix for MVP.

Most NBA fans agreed that he’d be vying for that award at some point in his career, but it’s somewhat surprising to see him battle for it so soon.

He is in only his third season, and he’s now one of the most talked-about players in the entire association and only getting better.

When it comes to Most Improved Player, Wembanyama is definitely showing great enhancements to his game.

Last season, he was already putting up an amazing 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks per game.

This year, Wembanyama is now doing 31.0 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 4.8 blocks every night.

The season is very long, and competition for these prizes will be tough, but Wembanyama is doing amazing things that could bring him awards and postseason glory this year.

Victor Wembanyama Speaks Out About Recent Offensive Struggles

The San Antonio Spurs suffered their second loss of the season on Wednesday night with a tight and tough 118-116 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Spurs started the season in an electric, historic way, but they have had a few offensive issues lately.

Following Wednesday’s game, Victor Wembanyama spoke with the press and said he and his team aren’t too worried about their recent offensive struggles.

“There’s no worry, really. It’s just trying to figure out what’s best. It feels like the game is going fast. As we’ve gotten better as a team, it feels like the opponents have stepped up in some ways defensively. We’re going to catch up to it, of course,” Wembanyama said.

During Wednesday’s game, Wembanyama posted 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block.

Those aren’t bad numbers, but they aren’t as strong as what he was putting up just a week ago.

On top of that, Wembanyama fouled out of the game against LA and also committed five turnovers.

He is still one of the brightest stars in the league and a true contender for MVP this year, but Wembanyama and his team have hit a few bumps in the road over the last week.

The better they have done, the more they have been targeted, and opposing teams have made stopping Wembanyama their one and only goal, almost like a badge of honor.

In a sense, all of the praise and attention the Spurs have received is working against them.

Wembanyama is still quite optimistic about his team, and he should be.

A rough game here and there doesn’t spell certain doom, and this team has shown they shouldn’t be counted out, especially when he is healthy.

Luka Doncic Gets Honest About Playing Against Victor Wembanyama

The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs squared off in a heated and fun game on Wednesday night.

The match featured two MVP candidates: Luka Doncic and Victor Wembanyama.

Following his Lakers’ 118-116 win over the Spurs, Doncic talked about Wembanyama and shared his respect for the young star.

“Is this his third year in the NBA? And he’s playing at an MVP level, which is insane. I have much respect for him. Much love, and I really enjoy his games. Playing against him, it’s very tough. I think he’s going to improve more. It’s always fun to play against guys like that and I have so much respect for Wemby,” Doncic said.

Both Doncic and Wembanyama tried to bring their best to the game on Wednesday.

Doncic was electric again with his 35 points, nine rebounds, 13 assists, five steals, and two blocks.

As for Wembanyama, he put up 19 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Unfortunately for Wembanyama and his Spurs, he fouled out of the game at the very end.

These two players have been talked about as MVP contenders since the very first game of 2025-26, and they have both been producing explosive numbers.

Their teams are also about evenly matched right now, with the Spurs holding a 5-2 record and the Lakers going 7-2.

These two will face off against each other again this season, and it’ll be interesting to see how they are doing at that point.

Will one of them become the odds-on favorite for MVP?

More importantly, which team will go further this year and which will have a better run in the playoffs?
