It's Not the Big Leagues, But Nowell Honored for G League Season

No one said pro basketball was going to be easy, but Jaylen Nowell hasn't given in and he's been rewarded for his efforts. The former University of Washington guard was named to the All-NBA G League first team after averaging 24.8 points per game for the Capital City Go-Go to finish sixth among all scorers. While it's not the big leagues, Nowell has to be a little sentimental as he makes his way through the G League, which is one of the offshoots of the old Continental Basketball Association, which was in existence from 1946 to 2009.

1 player Pelicans must trade in 2025 NBA offseason

The 2024-25 season could not have gone any further from plan for the New Orleans Pelicans. Coming off a 2023-24 campaign where they went 49-33 and made it to the playoffs as the eighth-seed, the Pelicans were perhaps the team in the NBA that was most ravaged by injuries. Dejounte Murray suffered a season-ending injury early in the year, Zion Williamson dealt with a plethora of injury woes of his own, while Brandon Ingram's ankle problems forced the Pelicans to send him all the way to Toronto. Just to add further insult to injury, the Pelicans traded away breakout guard Dyson Daniels, who finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting, in the Murray deal.

ESPN Star Calls Out Luka Doncic After Lakers-Timberwolves Game 4

The Los Angeles Lakers entered the NBA Playoffs with about as much hype as any team, due in part to their pairing of LeBron James and Luka Doncic. Two of the best playmakers in the NBA, who can do so much offensively, the Lakers seemed like an easy pick to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in their first round series. Despite 38 points from Doncic and 27 points from James, a fourth quarter collapse allowed the Timberwolves to come back and hand them a 116-113 loss.

The Milwaukee Bucks are on the brink of elimination, as they are down 1-3 in the first round against the Indiana Pacers. Aside from dropping Game 4, the Bucks suffered a double whammy when they saw Damian Lillard suffer an Achilles Tendon injury. The very same one that took out the likes of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and Dominique Wilkins. With the Bucks' season possibly coming to an end, the team needs to find ways to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.
