Panthers roll to 6-1 rout over undisciplined Oilers

After two toughies in Edmonton, the Florida Panthers returned home and blew the Oilers out of the building by a 6-1 count in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise. Game 2 hero Brad Marchand opened the scoring 56 seconds in when he beat a swimming Stuart Skinner after Anton Lundell caused chaos in front after an offensive zone faceoff win.

Tuesday Caterwaul: Barkov wins Selke and King Clancy trophies

Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov was announced as the winner of the Selke Trophy (for the second straight season) and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy on Monday. Barkov was the top choice on 96 of the 191 ballots for the Selke Trophy, which is awarded annually to the forward who demonstrates the most skill in the defensive component of the game, and finished with 1,363 voting points.

Wednesday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers will enjoy an extra day off today after the Cats pounded the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl winners by a 6-1 count on Monday at Amerant Bank Arena to take a two games to lead in the series. As impressive as Florida’s victory was, it’s just another of the sixteen steps the Panthers need to defend their title. Expect the Oilers to rebound on Thursday.

After a pair of overtime decisions north of the border, Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final was completely one-sided as the Florida Panthers crushed the Edmonton Oilers 6-1 at Amerant Bank Arena to take a two games to one lead in the Stanley Cup Final.
