The 2025 State of the Website Address

As the playoffs head into the conference finals, and the end of the 2024-25 season is looming in the not too distant future, we figured it was time for a little website update. That update is…well, not much is going to change. We have no intention of going anywhere anytime soon, so don’t go deleting that bookmark just yet. We took a few weeks off (for the most part) following the…

A look back at the 2024-25 Tampa Bay Lightning rookies

If there has been an overarching theme to the Tampa Bay Lightning’s recent stretch of post-Stanley Cup playoff appearances (aside from first-round exits), it’s been the lack of input from rookies. In fact, over the last three seasons, only 13 rookies have appeared in the line-up with only 8 of those players appearing in more than 10 games. The Bolts have leaned heavily on veteran players as they’…

Stacy Roest no longer with the Tampa Bay Lightning organization

We spend way too much time scrolling through the vast wasteland that is the internet. As we lazily thumb our way past meme after meme after meme occasionally, we stumble across one that we can apply to the hockey world. After hearing the news about Stacy Roest leaving the organization our lethargic off-season thoughts turned to the nostalgic, saccharine phrase that often appears over a group of…

Anthony Cirelli finished third in Selke voting

Tampa Bay Lightning sign forward prospect to three-year contract

Jack Finley had a really solid season in 2024-25. Unfortunately, as has been the case so far in his pro career, it was a short season. Finley, a 2020 second-round pick for the Lightning, also made his NHL debut, appearing in one game for Tampa Bay. Despite the injuries that have followed him…

It’s not looking great for Edmonton

Secondary scoring is great, especially in the Stanley Cup Final, but when Corey Perry has your only goals over the last 88 minutes of on-ice action, well, that isn’t great. After splitting the games in Edmonton, the Florida Panthers returned to their friendly confines and proceeded to smack the Oilers up and down the ice for 60 minutes in Game 3. The 6-1 final score was indicative of how much the…
