Why Erik Spoelstra believes Heat is 'trending' in the right direction

Despite the Miami Heat dealing with several injuries, the team is a on four-game winning streak before Monday night's game against the Washington Wizards. With the Heat amid an offensive resurgence, head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke about the direction of the unit as they're currently in the home stretch of the season. Unless Miami wins the last eight games of the season (including Monday night), meaning they'd finish on a 12-game winning streak, the team will fall under .500 this season for the first time since the 2018-29 season.

ASK IRA: What would be the optimal play-in path for Heat?

Q: Ira, let’s play the play-in game. In order, who would the Heat least want to play in the play-in round. Go. – Hal. A: OK, I’ll bite, with the play-in field in the East basically set, in some order, with the Hawks, Magic, Bulls and Heat, and with the Heat likely having to go 2-0 to advance to the playoffs (with the Heat’s chances against the Cavaliers another story for another day, if that ...

Miami Heat Legend Alonzo Mourning Has Otherworldly Label For LeBron James

A few athletes in sports history have had insane career longevity, but even fewer are impressive enough compared to LeBron James. James is averaging 24.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.4 assists on 51 percent shooting and 37.4 percent from three-point range.

ASK IRA: Has Heat’s Pelle Larsson made himself a rotation regular?

Q: Ira, Pelle Larsson has gotten his playing time with Andrew Wiggins and Duncan Robinson out. What happens when they return? – Anderson. Wolves, Heat, Knicks, Spurs, Rockets Among Potential Trade Partners For Kevin Durant

There are several teams who are expected have interest in a Kevin Durant trade this offseason as the Phoenix Suns will likely work together on his exit. The Suns have had a disappointing pair of seasons since adding Bradley Beal to their star core of Durant and Devin Booker. While the Golden State Warriors were among the most notable teams to pursue a trade for Durant at the deadline, there was a number of other teams with interest that might be more mutual in the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets, reports Shams Charania.

Skidding Grizzlies aim to cool off sizzling Heat

Tuomas Iisalo hasn't had the easiest start to an NBA coaching career. Iisalo took over as interim coach for the Memphis Grizzlies after Taylor Jenkins was fired last Friday. Iisalo was chosen to lead the team during the final weeks of the season, but his first three opponents -- the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors -- were a major challenge, even if each game was in Memphis. Despite going 0-3, Iisalo recognized some encouraging signs for a team trying to climb out of an end-of-the-season spiral -- a four-game losing streak and seven defeats in the past eight games.

The Heat were amidst a 10-game losing streak that set their season back many lengths, but the recent stretch of victory is not shocking to head coach Erik Spoelstra. Speaking to the media before Thursday's game facing Memphis in the second game of a back-to-back, with the first being Wednesday against the Boston Celtics, Spoelstra spoke of an array of topics.

After one of the best individual performances in NBA history, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks (43-34; 39-36-2 ATS) are in South Beach to take on the Miami Heat (35-42; 37-39-1) Saturday night. Antetokounmpo went off for 35 points, a career-high 20 assists, and 17 rebounds in the Bucks win over the Sixers. It's the first time anyone has put up such a ridiculous stat line in NBA history. How 'good loss' to Bucks could serve as Heat learning experience

MIAMI -While the Miami Heat didn't have Tyler Herro, it was still a disappointing loss for the team on Saturday night as they fell to the Milwaukee Bucks, 121-115, in overtime. After the Heat lost off a Ja Morant game-winner against the Memphis Grizzlies, the frustrations continued as there were many chances for the team to beat the Bucks, but couldn't capitalize as some could argue the defeat isn't the worst thing in the world. As Miami approaches the play-in tournament which they're locked in with four games left in the regular season, the team will need any form of a playoff atmosphere as possible.

Takeaways From The Miami Heat's Overtime Loss To The Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks finished this game taking about twice as many shots within four feet of the basket as the Heat did. For as dominant as Giannis Antetokounmpo still is, allowing the Bucks to take get up 49 percent of their overall shots near the rim is unacceptable if you're the Heat. Throughout the win streak, the Heat's defense served as a foundation that propelled them to control games once the offense came around.
