The Rangers are in the hunt on Cliff Lee. They made some offers to him last night and i think at least one of them was really close to what the yanks offered. I am not sure what will happen but i think Cliff likes Texas and this might be good enough for him.

Who do the Yankees have?

Their shortstop and third baseman are getting quite old...

In Texas you have one of the best outfields in the game, one of the best bullpens, and one of the best closers (Feliz shut down the yanks twice this year while Ravera had two losses).

The Rangers are a GREAT young team that will be getting better for the next few years. The Yankees are an old team that can only get worse.

Also i don't think the Yanks will even win their division next year with how good the Red Sox look.

Yet we still manage to be competitive every year. You can't say A-Rod is overrated if he has 600 home runs. If Cliff Lee comes to the Yankees, it'll put us over the top and we'll win the World Series.
