Dolphins announce throwback uniforms for 60th anniversary celebration

gettyimages-2170862557.jpg

The Miami Dolphins announced a celebration of the team’s 60th anniversary during their Week 16 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Framing it as being thankful for 60 years of football in the Thanksgiving day announcement, the Dolphins posted a letter to the fans on X. Included in the announcement is the team’s plan to wear their throwback uniforms for the game.

“Happy Thanksgiving! On behalf of the entire Miami Dolphins organization, we want you to know how grateful we are for you and your loyalty and support over the years,” the announcement began.

A couple of paragraphs later, the letter read, “This December, we are excited to share that we will be celebrating you, our Dolphins family, and 60 incredible years of Dolphins football together.”

The announcement then lays out plans to toast the Founding Members from the 1966 season, “celebrating the fans who started this incredible tradition of loyalty.” They will also spotlight some of the greatest players in each of the team’s six decades of football.

The team will be wearing the aqua version of the throwback uniforms for the game.

Thankful for 60 years of football with our Fins Family 🧡

On December 21 against the Bengals, we will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the franchise, wearing our throwback uniforms. We hope to see you there! pic.twitter.com/q664TOvlNH

— Miami Dolphins (@MiamiDolphins) November 27, 2025

The game is scheduled to be a Sunday Night Football matchup, kicking off at 8:20 p.m. Eastern. If the Dolphins can climb back into playoff contention before that game, highlighting the 60 years of the team could be enough to keep the game in the primetime slot. If Miami falls out of the playoff picture, the league could look to flex another game into the timeslot, moving the Dolphins into an afternoon game.

The league has until December 15 to make that decision.

Dolphins adding Darren Waller to active roster before Saints game

gettyimages-2237810299.jpg

The Miami Dolphins are expected to make a roster move on Saturday, bringing back a key member of their offense after a stint on injured reserve. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Miami will activate tight end Darren Waller from injured reserve, making him eligible for the team’s Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints. Waller missed the last four games with a pectoral injury.

The Dolphins designated Waller for return from IR on Wednesday, opening his 21-day practice window. He did not, however, need those 21 days as he will now be brought back to the active roster three days later.

Pelissero’s report did not indicate a corresponding roster move for Miami to make space under the league’s 53-player limit for Waller. The Dolphins have not announced the move.

Waller missed the first three games for the Dolphins this year after a training camp hip issue forced him to the sideline. He returned for four games, catching 10 receptions for 117 yards and four touchdowns. He was injured 16 snaps into the fourth game, then was placed on IR that week. Before he left, Waller, who was returning to the NFL after a one-year retirement, had developed a strong chemistry with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and was becoming the go-to redzone threat for the team.

Miami hosts the Saints on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Eastern.

Your New Orleans Saints @ Miami Dolphins Predictions/Players You Would Steal

gettyimages-1409579316.jpg

Earlier this week, I asked the following question about tomorrow’s game:

What are your predictions for the upcoming game between your Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints? Final score? MVP of the game? Other bold predictions? Additionally, which New Orleans Saints players would you, if you could, steal to place on the Miami Dolphins roster?

Below are some of your thougths and answers-

Left Shark just came to the party to wish us all a happy holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

cyberflea has Miami winning their third in a row and wants a WR to put out opposite Waddle.

Player to steal – I would have gone with center Erik McCoy if the Dolphins didn’t have Brewer or LB Demario Davis who’s played outstanding but at 36 years old is a pass. So, I am going with WR Chris Olave. At only 25 years old, the Dolphins would have a great pair of WRs with Olave and Waddle.

Prediction – The Saints are a bad football team especially offensively. The Saints offense is averaging a measly 15 points per game and ranks 31st in scoring. The Saints have been outscored 108-44 over their last four games, averaging just 11 points per game while allowing 27 and are dead last scoring inside the red zone.

The Dolphins must continue to pound the rock as they face one of the better secondaries in the NFL which is giving up fewer than 200 yds passing per game and could make life difficult for Tua. The Dolphins playing at home and coming off a bye should win this game unless they get into self-destruct mode.

Dolphins win 24-13

JUK, in response to cyberflea, wants a couple of tackles to go with Olave.

Yeah Olave or one of their two young tackles (Banks and Fuaga) to replace Austin Jackson. Ruiz is a really good guard too. I like their D but not sure I would take any of them over the above

Dave21 likes their tackle, pass rusher, and a new backup for Tua.

Not a lot of talent there, bunch of good players past their primes. I would take Banks Jr and probably take a run at Chase Young and see if we couldn’t round him back into the beast he was. He is only 26. I liked the thought of Tyler Slough as well, let him play behind Tua one more year. Wilson ain’t the answer.

rdusmc86 sees Olave as a solid replacement for Hill and the Dolphins winning it by a TD.

Olave could replace Tyreek. Prediction: I think we’ll take 17-10 in a defensive game with 2+ TO’s on both sides.

SuperG! does NOT want any of the Saints QBs.

I know the weekly popular answer to this question is the other team’s QB but if they gave that answer this week they get bonked on the head.

phinsfan8373 is another on board with Olave. Has Miami winning if they play as well as they can.

Well if we play good football amd run the ball and no turnovers we will win easily but if not it could go either way I think id take Olave to replace hill GO PHINS

NCSurferMike is also on the Olave bandwagon, has the Phins winning by 10, Achane going off again, and Tua doing Tua things.

Steal Olave

Fins 27-17

Achane 150+ total yds

Tua gets concussed

SlayerNation1 says maybe bring in Jordan as a good locker-room leader, unless McDaniel sticks around and has Miami pulling this one out by a TD.

NO is as bad as projected in the preseason. As far as players, maybe Cam Jordan as a locker room guy for a total rebuild.

If Mike is still the HC, no Veteran locker room guys, because Mike relies too heavily on them to do the parenting.

MIA 27 NO 20

I would expect MIA to not look as sharp as they should and let NO hang around.

This will be an hideous TV product. You have Chris Myers/Schlereth trying to fill air time with banter (a lot of Schlereth over-pronouncing every word), a very serene, half vacant HRS.

That’s our selection of answers and insights this evening. As usual, I would like to thank each of you who took the time to read and answer our question of the day. Please be sure to join us tomorrow afternoon for our Saints @ Dolphins live thread.

Saints vs. Dolphins final score, immediate reactions as Miami holds on for tight win

gettyimages-2249219873.jpg

The Miami Dolphins hosted the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, sneaking out with a win as the Saints tried to make a comeback at the end of the game. This game featured just about everything, including a defensive two-point conversion and a recovered onside kick.

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with Miami jumping out to an early lead, but allowing the Saints back into the game in the second half. The defenses of both teams were the story of the game, with big plays being made by both teams to try to keep the game close.

In the end, Miami held on just enough to come up with the win, improving to 5-7 on the season and winning their third-straight contest. The Saints fell to 2-10 with the loss.

Final Score

Saints 17 – 21 Dolphins

Reactions and Recap

First quarter

Dolphins first possession

The Dolphins opened the game with the ball, and they immediately started moving it downfield. Starting at their 31-yard line after a strong return from wide receiver Malik Washington, running back De’Von Achane established Miami’s momentum with an eight-yard run. Running back Jaylen Wright made a rare early-game appearance on the second snap, adding eight yards of his own. After quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was sacked for an eight-yard loss, the quarterback found tight end Darren Waller, making his return from the injured reserve list, for 13 yards. A bad snap on the next play, with Tagovailoa having to pick it up off the ground, still turned into a 19-yard gain as the quarterback connected with Washington. The drive ended with a 29-yard run from Achane to the endzone.

The Saints tried to seal off the edge. They didn’t do it. #ProBowlVote De’Vone Achane

— The Phinsider (@thephinsider) November 30, 2025

What a start! The Dolphins to overcame a sack and a bad snap to never miss a step, which is not something we have seen in a long time. Miami attacked on the ground and through the air, staying fairly well balanced on the six-play, 69-yard touchdown drive.

Dolphins 7-0

Saints first possession

New Orleans opened at their 27-yard line, but could not gain a first down. The three-and-out drive picked up eight yards, but defensive tackle Zach Sieler stuffed a second-down run for a one-yard loss and tipped the third-down pass just enough to keep the Saints from converting.

Okay defense. Keep that up all day.

Dolphins second possession

Miami did not have the same effectiveness on their second drive. Achane picked up two yards on the first play, but two incomplete passes on the next two snaps killed the drive and Miami punted.

Not the backup to the first drive that was wanted. Now the defense needs to step up. There was potential on the third-down pass attempt, but wide receiver Jaylen Waddle ran into Achane as they were running their routes and Tagovailoa threw to where he thought the receiver would be.

Saints second possession

The second Saints’ possession looked much like the first. On second down, linebacker Jordyn Brooks stuffed the run for a one-yard loss. On third down, linebacker Tyrel Dodson broke up the pass attempt from quarterback Tyler Shough to force a punt.

The defense is coming to play today. They are in position no matter what the Saints are trying to do. It is a small sample size, but so far the defense is making an impact.

Dolphins third possession

Miami’s third drive continued the three-and-out trends of this game. No gain on the first down run from Achane, with linebacker Danny Stutsman body slamming the running back on the tackle, was followed by a screen attempt to Washington that only gained a yard. After a penalty for 12 players in the huddle, the offensive line collapsed around Tagovailoa on 3rd-and-14, leading to a sack and a Miami punt.

Miami cannot fall into the self-inflicted penalty habit they had early in the year. The defense is absolutely crushing it right now. The offense needs to wake up and find their rhythm.

Saints third possession

Running back Devin Neal picked up a yard on the first play, but rookie defensive tackle Zeek Biggers recorded a sack on the second-down play. On the 3rd-and-14, pass attempt, Shough found tight end Juwan Johnson for 11 yards, but the three-and-out fest continued.

The defense continues to be impressive. The Saints do not have an answer right now. Can Miami’s offense do something more than just punt like they are the Cleveland Browns?

Recap:

Dolphins TD
Saints 3-and-out
Dolphins 3-and-out
Saints 3-and-out
Dolphins 3-and-out
Saints 3-and-out

— The Phinsider (@thephinsider) November 30, 2025

Dolphins fourth possession

Miami ran four plays before the quarter ended: a 16-yard pass from Tagovailoa to wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, Jr., a 34-yard pass from Tagovailoa to Waller, a nine-yard run from rookie running back Ollie Gordon II, and a five-yard run from Achane.

Second Quarter

Dolphins fourth possession (continued)

An Achane run for five yards was followed by two incomplete passes, one deep into the endzone toward Washington and one a throw away from Tagovailoa to avoid a sack. Miami settled for a field goal.

Not the touchdown that would have been really nice there, but at least Miami put up some points. The offensive line needs to tighten up. The throwaway should have been a sack as the Saints had free rushers, and the Miami linemen were blocking air. Miami’s offense cannot have success if the Saints are in the backfield immediately on every single pass attempt.

Dolphins 10-0.

Saints fourth possession

New Orleans picked up their first first down of the game on the drive, moving out to the Miami 49-yard line, before safety Minkah Fitzpatrick sacked Shough, forcing a fumble that Sieler recovered for Miami.

The defense continues to be a difference maker in this game. Great blitz from Fitzpatrick and Sieler was right there to scoop up the loose ball, gaining five yards on the return. Perfectly done.

Dolphins fifth possession

Tagovailoa looked deep toward Waddle in the endzone to open the drive, but floated the pass and it was picked off by cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry.

Bad decision from Tagovailoa, plain and simple. He had Achane open on a wheel route for the checkdown, but he floated the pass into double coverage, hoping Waddle could make a play, but the receiver never had a chance. Bad choice.

Saints fifth possession

Shough ran for no yards on the first snap, then threw two incomplete passes to get New Orleans back to another three-and-out.

The defense stepped up again. They really need the offense to step up as well.

Dolphins sixth possession

A kick-catch interference penalty on New Orleans gave Miami the ball near midfield to start the drive. Achane picked up 33 yards on three carries during the possession, while Wright added five yards and Gordon picked up two yards. Waddle caught a pass for four yards on a 3rd-and-3 conversion in the middle of the drive, but a pass targeting Achane on 3rd-and-Goal fell incomplete, leading to a Miami field goal.

Miami’s run game is cranking right now. Miami head coach Mike McDaniel needs to stick with it. Tagovailoa and Achane were just slightly out of sync on the third-down attempt, with the screen set up well but the ball off target.

Dolphins 13-0.

Saints sixth possession

New Orleans was gifted a first down on the second play of the drive with a questionable illegal contact penalty called against Miami cornerback Rasul Douglas. After another first down, largely on the ground as running back Devin Neal found space, Shough threw to tight end Taysom Hill for five yards. On 2nd-and-5, Neal picked up a yard, setting up a 3rd-and-4 after the two-minute warning. Linebacker Chop Robinson jumped into the neutral zone after the break, giving the Saints a first down at the Miami 40-yard line. An eight-yard scramble from Shough continued New Orleans’ best drive, with Neal then converting the first down on an eight-yard run. After an incomplete pass, Shough looked toward wide receiver Chris Olave, but cornerback Rasul Douglas stepped up, picking off the pass and returning it 38 yards.

The defense gave up some yards, but they came away with the stop when it was needed. Great read from Douglas to know exactly where the ball was going and attacking the pass.

Dolphins seventh possession

Starting at the Saints’ 33-yard line, Miami lost two yards on an Achane run before a pass to Washington added six yards. The Dolphins then let the clock run down to two seconds before a spike stopped the clock and allowed a field goal.

Not sure why Miami did not try to run at least one more offensive play, but they executed enough to get some points just before the half.

Dolphins 16-0

Third Quarter

Saints seventh possession

New Orleans turned to the running and a high-tempo attack coming out of halftime, using Neal to gain 22 yards on five of the first seven plays. Shough threw one pass during the initial attack, finding wide receiver Devaughn Vele for 14 yards. After a run from running back Evan Hall for two yards, Shough threw to Vele for another 14 yards, with Miami challenging the catch but the call on the field standing. After a false start, Shough found Olave for a 17-yard touchdown, with Shough running it in on the two-point conversion.

The Saints made an adjustment, using the tempo to keep the Miami defense from making substitutions, and the ground game to attack. The Dolphins will need to make an adjustment quickly.

Dolphins 16-8.

Dolphins eighth possession

Miami opened their second half with a nine-yard run from Achane. But then a run for no yards and an incomplete pass led to a punt. Tagovailoa rolled out on the third-down play, finding an open tight end Julian Hill on a crossing route, but threw the ball behind his target and leading to a three-and-out.

Tagovailoa’s accuracy is off today – and for a quarterback who makes his money based on his anticipation and accuracy, this is not a good game. He is 7-for-15 for 93 yards with an interception at this point, giving him a 39.0 passer rating. Miami’s offense is working on the ground, but Tagovailoa needs to figure something out if they are going to hold on to this lead.

Saints eighth possession

The Saints returned to their up-tempo attack, starting with the ball at their 10-yard line. Back-to-back passes to Vele for 14 and and 12 yards on the second- and third-plays of the drive moved New Orleans away from the goalline. After a run of one yard, Shough threw to tight end Juwan Johnson for 11 yards, getting New Orleans out to the 45-yard line. An incomplete pass, a false start, a sack by Dolphins linebacker Chop Robinson, and a pass for four yards led to a Saints punt.

The defense started to look questionable, but then stepped up and shut down everything New Orleans wanted to do. Hopefully, that is the wake-up call they needed after struggling on the first drive.

Dolphins ninth possession

Miami shook up its play calling on its second drive of the half, attacking with both passes and runs. Wright opened the drive with a three-yard run, then Tagovailoa scrambled for three yards. On 3rd-and-4 from the 10-yard line, Tagovailoa threw to tight end Greg Dulcich for 21 yards. After a 14-yard pass to Waddle from Tagovailoa, Achane gained two yards on a run, with Washington then taking a backwards pass for a three-yard rush. Miami looked to pass on the 3rd-and-5 play, but Tagovailoa was sacked and the Dolphins were forced to punt.

That looked like a great start to a long, time-consuming drive, only to have it fall apart and the Dolphins having to punt again. Miami cannot afford to continue to give away drives, relying on the defense to do all the heavy work. The Saints are a two-win team and the Dolphins are playing down to the competition right now.

Saints ninth possession

Neal picked up six yards on first down, leading to the end of the quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Saints ninth possession (continued)

After the break, New Orleans picked up two yards on a Taysom Hill run, but Shough was sacked for a 10-yard loss by linebacker Bradley Chubb. The Saints punted.

The defense again keeping the pressure on the Saints. Chubb’s sack was the fourth from Miami’s defense on the day. Now the offense needs to do something.

Dolphins tenth possession

The Dolphins opened with a near pick as Tagovailoa threw toward Waddle, but coming up short on the toss and New Orleans cornerback Quincy Riley trying to scoop the ball off the ground. After a Saints challenge and the play standing as an incomplete pass, Tagovailoa was able to throw a completion to Waddle for a 22-yard gain. Achane picked up 20 yards on three runs, but from the 10-yard line, Miami tried three-straight passes, with two incompletions and a sack, leading to a field goal.

The run is working, but McDaniel abandons it for the pass in the redzone. Why? Tagovailoa continues to struggle with accuracy today and Achane can power through the Saints defense. They need to get back to running the ball. Achane went over 100 yards rushing on the day and 1,000 yards rushing on the year during the drive, his first 1,000 yard season.

De'Von Achane really is THAT guy. 😎

RT to #ProBowlVote pic.twitter.com/RTu11gAkAw

— Miami Dolphins (@MiamiDolphins) November 30, 2025

Saints tenth possession

The Saints started at their 26-yard line, then jumped out to the 50-yard line in six plays, converting first downs twice, including a six-yard pass from Shough to Johnson. Shough then threw to wide receiver Mason Tipton for 11 yards to move down to the Miami 39-yard line, with safety Minkah Fitzpatrick injured on the play. After an incomplete pass, a screen to Neal gained two yards. On 3rd-and-8, with Fitzpatrick back on the field, Shough overthrew Tipton, leading to a 56-yard field goal.

The defense at least made a stop, but the Saints are having too much success right now. Miami’s offense needs to control the ball on this next drive, running the clock and ending this game.

Dolphins 19-11.

Dolphins 11th possession

Miami came out looking to run the ball, picking up six yards on first down and seven yards on second down with Achane. Tagovailoa threw to Dulcich for three yards on the subsequent first down, then turned back to Achane for three yards. Tagovailoa scrambled for three yards on third down, setting up 4th-and-1. Miami handed the ball to Gordon on the play, but the running back tried to cut back and was tackled for a loss.

Gordon should have just tried to power through; he is the “power” back for a reason. Miami went away from Achane for some reason – not sure if he needs a breather or what, but they missed him on those last three plays.

Saints 11th possession

Taking over after the turnover on downs, New Orleans started at their 45-yard line. After an incomplete pass, Shough threw to Vele for 12 yards, only to have a holding penalty on the next play. On 1st-and-20, Shough threw to Vele for four yards before throwing a check-down to Neal for 10 yards. After the two-minute warning, facing 3rd-and-6, the Saints converted as Olave found space in the zone for a 16-yard gain. A quick slant to Vele gained eight yards before Shough threw a prayer into the endzone and Vele came down with the ball for the score. A false start on the Saints on the two-point conversion attempt pushed it back to the seven-yard line, with New Orleans throwing for the endzone, but Fitzpatrick intercepting the pass and returning it for the score.

The defense gave up the touchdown, which sucks, but the return from Fitzpatrick on the two-point attempt was fun.

Dolphins 21-17.

Saints 12th possession

The Saints attempted the onside kick, with the referees ruling Miami touched the ball and New Orleans recovering the loose ball. New Orleans opened with a 10-yard pass to Olave, then another nine-yard pass, this one to Neal. After two incomplete passes, New Orleans attempted a quarterback sneak for the first down, with the Dolphins defense stuffing the run and taking over on downs.

I still have no idea how Miami was ruled to have touched the ball. It clearly skipped through the Dolphins – they should have grabbed it, but no one ever touched it – and there is no change of direction from the ball. That was a miserably bad call.

3 Reasons Why – Dolphins squeeze out win over the Saints, continue winning streak

imagn-27711881.jpg

The Miami Dolphins have now won three games in a row, defeating the New Orleans Saints by a score of 21-17 in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season. Though the game never should have been close, the Dolphins managed to hold on and fight off a late Saints comeback to secure the victory.

Here’s three reasons why the Dolphins got the win.

1. Weaver’s Win

This win had Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver’s fingerprints all over it.

Through the first two quarters, the Dolphins held the Saints to zero points, forced two turnovers, and allowed just 63 total yards of offense. Even as Miami’s offense was sputtering, Weaver’s men consistently forced the Saints off the field, and gave the ball back to their offense. This helped the Dolphins race out to a 16-0 lead, and the team never looked back.

📊 Miami Dolphins' defense have held New Orleans Saint' offense to:

➖ 5 first downs
➖ 1/5 on third downs
➖ 29 passing yards
➖ 34 rushing yards
➖ 63 total yards
➖ 2.3 yards per play
➖ 2 turnovers
➖ 0 points

Though the Saints managed to make the game competitive in the second half, Miami’s defense never quit. An interception by Minkah Fitzpatrick on a failed two-point conversion was the game’s key play, and secured the win for the Dolphins. The Dolphins also had four sacks on the day, their highest in any game this season.

— NFL (@NFL) November 30, 2025

2. Run Achane, Run

De’Von Achane.

That’s it. There’s reason #2.

In all seriousness, Dolphins running back De’Von Achane almost singlehandedly carried the offense on Sunday. He finished the game with 22 carries for 134 yards, and one touchdown. On a day where the Dolphins couldn’t get anything going through the air (just 157 passing yards), Achane’s legs propelled the team to victory.

There goes De’Von Achane for six!

NOvsMIA on FOX/FOX Onehttps://t.co/HkKw7uXVnt pic.twitter.com/Tj2LUxgCqU

— NFL (@NFL) November 30, 2025

His patience, vision, and elusiveness in the open field is among the best in the NFL, and it’s no surprise that he’s already passed the 1,000+ yard mark for the season. He is the team’s heartbeat on offense, and deserves all the credit for his performance in Week 13. Extend that man this offseason, and don’t think twice.

3. Kick, Kick, Kick, Kick!

When one player directly contributes to more than half of a team’s points, they must have done something right.

On Sunday, that’s exactly what Dolphins kicker Riley Patterson did.

Dolphins scoring today:
Riley Patterson: 13 points
De'Von Achane: 6 points
Minkah Fitzpatrick: 2 points

— The Phinsider (@thephinsider) November 30, 2025

Patterson was 4/4 on field goal attempts, and also converted his only extra point try on the day. His longest was a 48-yard attempt.

With starting kicker Jason Sanders sidelined for what looks to be the entire season, Patterson has stepped in and delivered for the Dolphins. Though he doesn’t have the strongest leg (season long of 49-yards), he ranks in the Top-10 among all kickers this season for field goals made with 21 (1oth), and field goal percentage at 91.3% (7th).

Next Week

Next week, the Dolphins travel up north to take on the 3-9 New York Jets, who are coming off a 27-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Dolphins already beat the Jets this season, back in Week 4 by a score of 27-21.

Miami Dolphins favored to extend win streak to four

gettyimages-2248868224.jpg

The Miami Dolphins have won their last three games and four of their last five contests. The wins – other than the Week 10 victory over the Buffalo Bills – have not been the prettiest victories ever, but they all count the same at the end of the day. Heading into Week 14, Miami faces the New York Jets for the second time this year, and the oddsmakers think the Dolphins will finish the season sweep of their AFC East rivals.

The Dolphins beat the Jets in Week 4, Miami’s lone win in the first seven weeks of the season. They have improved from that 1-6 start to now sit 5-7 and somehow positioning themselves on the AFC playoff picture graphic. With a win over New York, they could move out of the role of spoiler and into a darkhorse postseason contender.

The Jets are coming off a win over the Atlanta Falcons, but it marked just their third victory this season. At 3-9, New York is not in playoff contention, but they are also moving away from a top-ten selection in the 2026 NFL Draft – currently holding the seventh position.

The oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook are giving Miami a slight advantage in this weekend’s game – a spread that feels like it should be larger, but there just is not enough trust in which version of the Dolphins will show up for this game. The line opened Sunday night with Miami as two-point favorites 2.5 points, where it remains on Tuesday morning.

The point total is 41.5 combined points in the game. The moneyline has Miami -146 for the straight-up win while the Jets are +124.

Kickoff for the game is at 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Phinsider Question/Discussion Of The Day: New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins Players You Would Steal

gettyimages-2238190707.jpg

Well, that went the way we wanted, but maybe not the way we wanted it done!?! I am, of course, talking about the last game our Miami Dolphins played against the New Orleans Saints. Miami did their normal thing against bad teams, where they seem to dominate the game overall while also finding any way possible to give it away. I can see a way that this current team could make it to the playoffs, but what for? So we can have a lower draft pick while also having the team humiliated on the field in their first-round game? Anyway, we do have a question of the day, and with the New York Jets, the next game, our next PQOTD is:

Which NY Jets players would you, if you could, steal to place on the Miami Dolphins roster?
  • I know that we already asked this question for the first game against the Jets, but as they have had a woeful season, the cream will rise to the top all the same, while some of the underwhelming rookies early on may also be playing at an NFL level now, and as such the answers may now be very much different.

3 Miami Dolphins Players You Should Vote For This Pro Bowl Season

gettyimages-2236497653.jpg

Voting for the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl kicked off a few days ago, and after a week’s worth of voting, some of your favorite Miami Dolphins players are among the top vote-getters at their respective positions.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelisserro, as of 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, December 1st, these three Dolphins players were among the top-10 vote getters at their positions.

Here’s a look at three Miami Dolphins players that NEED YOUR VOTES to get into the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl!!!!

De’Von Achane | Running Back

*Ranked No.6 among RBs (No.3 in the AFC)

2171723304.jpg

I’m still in disbelief that teams balked at trading away a reported second-round draft pick plus an additional pick for a player as talented as De’Von Achane. It used to be tongue-in-cheek to refer to him as our Christian McCaffrey, and yet here we are, with our very own offensive weapon who can be just as explosive in the passing game as he is between the tackles.

For the first time in his career, Achane has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark on the ground, and with Tyreek Hill’s injury and the team moving to a more run-first offense, he has looked a lot like that dreaded back we all idolized in the early 2000s, even if it is in a much different form.

I said it once, and I’ll say it again:::

“In an offense littered with guys like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and * insert your favorite player’s name here *, Achane is the most explosive of them all.” And without him, Miami’s offense wouldn’t be everything it’s chalked up to be.

If ANYONE on the Dolphins’ offense deserves a spot in the Pro Bowl, it’s our 5’9 running back! #RunAchaneRun.

Alec Ingold | Fullback

*Ranked No.4 among FBs (No.2 in AFC)

1850154836.jpg

In a world where the fullback position is slowly becoming extinct, Alec Ingold embodies everything that’s right about the position. He’s a leader on and off the field and continues to leave a lasting impact in both facets of the game with his physicality and throwback skill-set — ask any defender.

This season, Ingold has picked up three first downs in his limited work as a pass-catcher and one in short-yardage situations as a ball carrier. According to Pro Football Focus, Ingold has allowed only one pressure all season in pass-protection. However, as a run blocker, he currently sits with a 35.8 grade — the lowest of his career. (The Dolphins’ dismal start to the season didn’t help anyone.)

With only two fullbacks making the Pro Bowl (One for each team), Ingold needs your votes to leapfrog ahead of the Denver Broncos’ Fullback, Adam Prentice, and land the AFC’s coveted spot.

Jordyn Brooks | Linebacker

*Ranked No.2 Among ILBs (No.1 in AFC)

2192829837.jpg

Swapping out Jerome Baker for Jordyn Brooks proved to be one of the best things the Dolphins could have done.

The former fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft joined the Dolphins in March 2024 as a free agent, signing a three-year deal worth $26.25 million. In his first season with Miami, Brooks led the team in tackles with 143 (86 solo) tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, six pass breakups, and six quarterback hits.

Through 12 games in 2025, Brooks is on pace to break his career-high in tackles (184), currently sitting at an NFL-best 137 total tackles (77 solo). He also has nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and a pass breakup. Most of all, he’s been the leader in the middle of Miami’s defense and continues to prove he’s one of the league’s top inside linebackers, helping turn around a defense that looked inept at times early on.

Now, we have to make sure Brooks gets honored for his play. A contract extension would be nice, but that’s above our pay grade — all YOU can do is vote him into the Pro Bowl!

Fan voting for the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl ends on December 15th. Players and coaches have until December 19th to vote. For more details on the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl game, click the link HERE.

Phinsider Question/Discussion Of The Day: New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins Game Day Predictions

gettyimages-2188910989.jpg

Our Miami Dolphins enter week 14 of the NFL season with a mini 3-game win streak. Can the team continue their streak this week over one of the worst teams in the NFL, the New York Jets? Although the Jets only have three total wins this season, all three of their wins this season came in just their last five games, including last week’s victory over the Atlanta Falcons, 27-24. The Jets’ overall record is 3-9, leaving them in fourth place in the AFC East, while our Dolphins sit two games ahead at 5-7, holding down third in the division.

This evening’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is our usual weekly question:

What are your predictions for the upcoming game between your Miami Dolphins and the hated New York Jets? Final score? MVP of the game? Other bold predictions?

Miami Dolphins RB De’Von Achane Named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November

gettyimages-2245869015.jpg

The Miami Dolphins have been red hot as of late, winning four of their last five games and hanging on by a thread in the highly competitive AFC playoff picture.

Part of the reason for Miami’s recent success is the transformation of Mike McDaniel’s offense, from a more pass-first style of offense — with a healthy Tyreek Hill at the beginning of the season — to the more run-heavy style we’ve seen in recent weeks.

This has led to running back De’Von Achane taking over the workload, and in doing so, he’s somehow become even a bigger star than many of us expected.

In November, Achane carried the ball 79 times for 495 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 17 of 22 passes for an additional 135 yards. Today, the NFL honored Achane for his impressive performance over the last four weeks, naming him the AFC’s offensive player of the month.

achane-player-of-the-week.jpg

Achane, 24, was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft (84th overall).

Since joining the Dolphins, he’s started 32 games for Miami, totaling 2,741 yards on the ground and an additional 1,159 yards in the air. In less than three years, Achane already has 33 touchdowns — and continues to have his name cemented alongside Dolphins’ legend Ricky Williams in the team’s record book.

Typing all this, you can see why Achane was a hot commodity at the trade deadline. But if you ask me, Miami should not be looking to part ways with their star running back; instead, they should reward him for his play. Maybe that will happen now with McDaniel in the driver’s seat.

After all, for those who remember, it was the Achane pick that made McDaniel very happy on draft night. In fact, I believe it was former general manager Chris Grier who said afterward that McDaniel had hoped to take Achane a round sooner.

Either way, there is no debate that Miami once again has a star running back — willing and able to carry a heavy workload — in Achane. With each passing week, it becomes more and more apparent that he is the lifeline to Miami’s offense, and without him, I can’t even fathom where this team might be right now.

Which means there really is only one thing left for Miami to do — #PayTheMan.

What are your thoughts on Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month? Do you think the Dolphins should give him an extension this offseason? How do you feel heading into this weekend’s matchup vs. the New York Jets? Let us know in the comments section below!

imagn-27710316.jpg

new_splash_zone.jpg

The Miami Dolphins are looking to stay on a winning streak when they take on the New York Jets this weekend. RB De’Von Achane has been a big reason as to why the Dolphins have been able to win, especially in their upset win against the Buffalo Bills. The offense has gone through a little change and the Dolphins have been throwing OL Daniel Brunskill out there as a sixth lineman to aid in the run game. It has flourished over the last month and if the Dolphins want to keep winning, they are going to have to rely on Achane and the run game. Now all they have to do is get him a nice contract extension to keep him around.

You can check out that story here, and the rest of the day’s round-up below.

Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb nominated for Walter Payton Man of the Year award

gettyimages-2245010947.jpg

Miami Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb has been nominated as the Dolphins’ representative for the 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. The award, established in 1970, is widely regarded as the most prestigious in the NFL. It recognizes players who not only excel on the field but also make a positive impact on their community off the field.

Every year, each team gets to nominate one individual to represent their franchise, and the Dolphins have selected Chubb. Though this is his first nomination for the award, Chubb has served community long before he even played a down in the NFL. In 2017, along with his brother, Chubb established The Chubb Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to “empower youth to unlock their full potential” through various programs.

  • Name of the Game: Chess in Real Life, a program led by a chess master that teaches kids about strategic life skills, such as critical thinking and the importance of work ethic.
  • Moving the Needle, a financial literacy program that teaches kids about saving, budgeting, and investing money.
  • Effecting Change Through Entrepreneurship, a curriculum designed to help students develop business ideas for community impact.

The Dolphins released a video on X on Chubb’s nomination, where you can hear from the very people who have benefited from The Chubb Foundation.

Last year, Arik Armstead of the Jacksonville Jaguars won the award, for his work in establishing education for all students, regardless of financial standing. Previous notable winners include Jason Taylor (2007), Dan Marino (1998), Dak Prescott (2022), Larry Fitzgerald (2016), J.J. Watt (2017), Drew Brees (2006), and Peyton Manning (2005). If awarded, Chubb will be the 4th Dolphin to win the award, behind the aforementioned Taylor and Marino, and Dwight Stephenson (1985).

The Miami Dolphins will be heading up north to take on an AFC East rival in the New York Jets. With a win, the Dolphins would increase their win streak to 4 and slowly inch closer to being .500 on the season. By all accounts, this should be a very winnable game for the Dolphins. But we thought that last week also and they struggled to get pass the New Orleans Saints. Division games are never easy and the Dolphins should not underestimate the Jets on Sunday.

Miami Dolphins fan confidence evens out ahead of Week 14 vs. New York Jets

gettyimages-2249537713.jpg

The Miami Dolphins have had a roller coaster of a season, starting the year at 1-6 before winning four of their last five to climb back into the AFC playoff picture at 5-7. Miami is trying to make an improbable in-season turnaround and a run into the postseason, an effort that continues this weekend as they face the New York Jets for the second time this year. Can they back up their Week 4 victory over their AFC East rivals on Sunday?

As the Dolphins have worked too hard to turn the season around, the trust fans have in the team has also started to turn around. Where do we stand heading into Week 14, with Miami on a three-game winning streak? Our Weekly SB Nation Reacts survey results are here to see how the fans are feeling about the direction of the Dolphins.

Week 14 fan confidence survey results

Ahead of Week 1, Dolphins fans were unsure of how they should feel about the 2025 edition of the team, with 45 percent of the responses indicating there was trust in the direction of the club. That quickly dropped to five percent after Miami was crushed by the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1. It hit a season – and all-time – low at three percent in Week 7.

Then it started climbing, just as Miami began looking like a more competitive team. By Week 11, it was up to 43 percent, though it ticked down to 41 percent in Week 12 and 34 percent in Week 13, despite Miami’s wins.

For Week 14, with the Dolphins now 5-7, the fans are starting to trust again. This week’s fan confidence came in with exactly a 50-50 split on the vote. While it is not a true majority, the fact that we are now at 50 percent gives us the most positivity the fans have felt all season. Now, Miami needs to destroy the Jets on Sunday to continue that upward movement and pull the fan confidence into a majority on the positive side.

The national SB Nation Reacts survey this week included a question for each division, asking fans to predict who will be the champion when the season ends. For the AFC East, the question comes down to two options – the New England Patriots or the Buffalo Bills.

New England has a 2.5-game lead heading into Week 14, giving them a huge advantage over Buffalo and likely making them the top team in the division this year. The fan vote agreed that the Patriots are likely locked into winning the AFC East this year. The poll came out with 81 percent of the national vote indicating the Patriots will fin the division, while 19 percent think Buffalo can make a comeback to claim the title.
