The win-less Colts have fired defensive coordinator Larry Coyer, and have replaced starting QB Curtis Painter, with 7-year NFL veteran Dan Orlovsky.

I don't know why they waited so long to make these changes.

If the Colts continue to lose, Jim Caldwell could be on his way out as well.

The last time Dan Orlovsky played was when he was on the 0-16 Lions. And I don't think they should fire Caldwell, because I guarantee you, if they had Peyton Manning right now, they would be in the playoff picture.

Yeah, but that's saying Caldwell has to have Manning to win games, a good coach will find a way to win games, good or bad circumstances, so far, Caldwell hasn't showed much.

Wow, the Colts have been doing much worse than I thought they would be doing.

Shows how important Manning is to the team.

Caldwell should not be fired.

wow really.

Its his job to prepare the players and get the right people there, so yea it is his fault if his team sucks. He shouldn't be fired, but he should be on a short leash since he clearly proved he can't win without Peyton. A good coach can get wins even without their starter.

Exactly.
I'm trying not to sound biased, but look at the 2008 Patriots.
They went the year without Brady, and Belichick still scrapped together 11 wins.

Caldwell had no time to prepare to replace a VERY important piece for the colts. The team revolves around Mannings strengths, which is extremely obvious. The 2008 Patriots ran a different system. The system didn't revolve around Brady.
