Jeremiah Byers is an experienced offensive tackle who could give the Arizona Cardinals some depth

Taking a look at the Florida State offensive lineman.

Happy Tuesday one and all.

The Arizona Cardinals only had six draft picks this season, so they were able to add six undrafted free agents to their 2025 NFL Draft class.

We will give each one their due and take a look at them, starting with Florida State offensive lineman Jeremiah Byers.

From the team:

Byers (6-4, 320) appeared in 23 games (22 starts) at right tackle over the past two seasons with Florida State after playing four seasons at UTEP where he started 30-of-33 games played at right tackle. Last year with the Seminoles, he played nine games with eight starts at right tackle and was given the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award. In 2023, Byers helped Florida State win the ACC Championship while starting all 14 games. While at UTEP, he was a first-team All-Conference USA selection in 2022.

Byers did what we always ask, move up and continue to play well. He is an experienced, rugged offensive lineman, came in with 34 inch arms, but his athletic testing was not ideal, which is part of the reason he was not drafted.

He will have a shot to make the training camp roster and then work his way towards a depth piece or on the practice squad. Welcome to the desert, Jeremiah.

Cardinals’ MOJO Risin’?

2025 NFL Draft - Round 1

Didn’t the 2025 NFL Draft feel different for the Cardinals than in years past?

Didn’t the 2025 NFL Draft feel different for the Cardinals than in years past?

The #16 pick had nothing to do with appeasing the Cardinals’ fans wishes —- or made as a means to sell more season tickets —-

There were “sexier” prospects on the board at #16 than DT Walter Nolan. Let’s face it.

Here are just a few:

  • CB Will Johnson, Michigan
  • WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio St.
  • WR Matthew Golden, Texas
  • T Josh Simmons, Ohio St.

Had the Cardinals picked any one of those four high profile players, the roars from Cardinals’ fans would have been raucous.

Last year, it appeared that the “Tank for Marvin” fan fever was too pervasive for the Cardinals’ front office to ignore.

But this year, when Jonathan Gannon expounded on his Day 1 emotions heading into the #16 pick and how, all along, his guy was DT Walter Nolen III of Ole Miss, it became crystal clear that JG was wishing this pick into a reality.

The irony is that Cardinals’ fans who were locked into Will Johnson in similar ways to how they were locked into Marvin Harrison Jr. came around pretty quickly into feeling excited about Walter Nolen III, even though many of the fans were insisting that after Monti adeptly signed DT Dalvin Tomlinson and DE Calais Campbell in free agency that adding more talent to the interior of the defensive line was no longer a need.

After Monti made offensive tackle and wide receiver his top priorities in 2023 and 2024, it now seems clear that this time around he was eager and willing to make JG’s top priority the team’s top priority. JG explained how he enumerated the reasons for prioritizing Walter Nolen III at length to his GM.

What’s stunning about the decision is how tempted JG could have been to switch his allegiances over to CB Will Johnson, especially after having such a productive Top 30 visit with him.

Instead, JG stuck to his conviction that Walter Nolen III was the best choice for the Cardinals’ defense. Obviously, JG experienced a remarkable bonding with Walter Nolan III during his Top 30 visit with the Cardinals, to the point where the first thing that JG said to Walter Nolen III on the congratulations call was “What did I tell you, man?”

Nolen quickly replied, “Yes, you did. Send me that book!”

Conviction Rewarded

One can imagine that when JG sat down with Walter Nolen, he discussed the rumors about Nolen’s reputation for taking plays off and for not always being focused during practices while he was at Texas A&M. Therefore, whatever Walter Nolen’s explanation was, it must have felt sincere and truthful enough to convince JG that the All-American defensive tackle had turned that old yellow page into a new green leaf.

It was meaningful to hear Walter Nolen thank Monti Ossenfort for “taking a chance on me.”

To which Monti replied, “you earned it.”

Then to have Will Johnson fall right into their laps at pick #47, was like the ultimate reward for MOJO staying true to their conviction about taking Walter Nolen with their first pick.

This week, JG said that after the Cardinals picked Will Johnson at pick #47, eight defensive coordinators immediately texted him their congratulations for drafting “the best CB in the draft.”

Both Nolen and Johnson come to the Cardinals will various degrees of risk. Monti has seen such risks backfire when he was Director of Player personnel for the Titans after they selected T Isaiah Wilson from Georgia and CB Caleb Farley from Virginia Tech as back-to-back 1st round picks in 2020 and 2021. Both Wilson and Farley were oozing with NFL talent, but Wilson could not hold up mentally, and alas Farley could not hold up physically.

However, we do not know whether Isaiah Wilson and/or Caleb Farley would have been Monti’s top picks. Those picks were made by former Titans’ GM Jon Robinson.

Regardless, with Walter Nolen III and Will Johnson, there are numerous reasons why the Cardinals can expect different outcomes for these two potential NFL stars, the most significant of which is the quality of the time and effort that MOJO put into their research and their follow-up Top 30 visits with Nolen and Johnson.

If Monti and JG had a single inkling that Walter Nolen or Will Johnson would not fit in as key contributors to the team’s ever-blossoming culture, then MOJO would have moved their draft plans in a different direction.

Cardinals’ Fans’ Dream Come True?

This feels like the day that many of us have been longing and wish for where the decision making where the GM, in direct partnership with the head coach, have the complete autonomy to make all of the team’s personnel decisions.

The next step is having MOJO’s personnel decisions translate to consistent wins on the field. The expectations for this season throughout every aspect of the organization, from the front office to the coaches to the players are very high.

Pretty much everyone affiliated with the Cardinals is feeling especially excited.

Very much like the team’s defensive captain, 4-time NFL All-Pro and 7-time Pro Bowler. when he saw the Cardinals drafted Walter Nolen III at pick #16

I LOVE IT!!!

— Budda Baker (@Buddabaker3) April 25, 2025

As did Kyler Murray, who mentioned Walter Nolen by name when asked a week before the draft which players he thought the Cardinals might choose at pick #16.

Doesn’t it feel like everyone in the Cardinals organization for the first time in a long, long time, is walking to the beat of the same drum and signing the same song?

A song like this?

MOJO Risin’!

Bryson Green is a big bodied receiver that can give the Cardinals wide receiver room a boost

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 23 Wisconsin at Nebraska

Photo by Nathanial George/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

The Wisconsin grad has experience and toughness to help at the NFL level.

Happy Thursday one and all.

We are onto our next undrafted free agent for the 2025 NFL Draft class for the Arizona Cardinals.

Today, we look at wide receiver Bryson Green from Wisconsin.

From the team:

Green (6-1, 207) played the past two seasons at Wisconsin after spending the first two years of his collegiate career at Oklahoma State. He is a native of Allen, TX and played at Allen High School, the same high school as Kyler Murray. Green appeared in 42 total games and finished his college career with 97 receptions for 1,422 yards and 11 touchdowns. At Wisconsin, he played 19 games and had 49 receptions for 699 yards and four touchdowns while also adding all-Big Ten academic honors. In his first two seasons at Oklahoma State, Green played 23 games and had 48 receptions for 723 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Cardinals have consistently been bringing in bigger wide receiver types, and Green fits that bill.

Now, can he make an impact in a crowded room?

Welcome to the desert, Bryson.

Elijah Simmons is a fireplug nose tackle that could help the Arizona Cardinals

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: OCT 05 Tennessee at Arkansas

Photo by Andy Altenburger/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

The Arizona Cardinals could find their young nose tackle in undrafted free agency.

Happy Friday one and all.

We finish up our look at the 2025 undrafted free agent class for the Arizona Cardinals with my favorite player.

And it just fell that way alphabetically.

Elijah Simmons is 6-1 and 334lbs. He is the definition of a stout nose tackle.

From the team:

Simmons (6-1, 334) played six seasons at Tennessee (2019-24) and appeared in 55 games, collecting 59 tackles, seven tackles for loss three passes defensed and a half sack. Known for his ability to stop the run, Simmons played all 13 games last season for Tennessee and had 11 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss while helping the Volunteers to the College Football Playoff. In 2023, Simmons appeared in nine games and had 19 tackles and three tackles for loss.

So, Simmons may have played with Since61, but he is a fun, run stopping nose tackle with a unique size and game.

From Lance Zierlein:

Simmons has the build of a huge tree stump and is highly explosive off the snap. Despite seeing a limited snap count, there’s plenty of evidence of centers and guards straining to survive the unique carnage he can create. He unleashes knock-back power at the point of attack and can disrupt move-blocking schemes. For all of the trouble he can cause early in the snap, the overall production is somewhat light. Simmons likely won’t play on passing downs but should offer Day 3 value for a defense seeking a rotational one-technique who can muddy run lanes.

He’s perfect.

Valentin Senn is a big, long offensive tackle from UConn

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: OCT 26 Rice at UConn

The Arizona Cardinals brought in an intriguing offensive tackle prospect.

Happy Friday one and all, we have made it.

We get the last two undrafted free agents from the 2025 Arizona Cardinals rookie class today, and they are some big men.

We start with UConn left tackle, and Austrian Native Valentin Senn.

From the team:

Senn (6-7, 310) is a native of Volders, Austria and was a three-year starter at left tackle at Connecticut. He appeared in 41 games for the Huskies the past four years after beginning his collegiate career at Colorado. Prior to college, Senn played three seasons for the Swarco Raiders in Tirol, Austria. Last season he started all 13 games for the Huskies and helped them win the Fenway Bowl after starting all 12 games in 2023.

Senn is a tall, lean left tackle who has a lot of experience for the Huskies and was part of a nice turnaround for the program.

He will have a chance to earn a spot over the summer, and his attitude and work ethic make him someone easy to root for.

Welcome to the desert, Valentin.

Calais Campbell’s Arizona Homecoming

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals, Super Bowl XLIII

Set Number: X81791 TK1 R1 F31

He said he didn’t want to sign a one-day contract

The photo above is of Cardinals rookie DE Calais Campbell praying before Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009. It is therefore absolutely amazing to know that Calais Campbell, after nine years with the team and after 8 years combined of stints with the Jaguars, Ravens, Falcons and Dolphins, has returned to Arizona to play on the team that drafted him in the 2nd round (#50 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.

Here, Calais Campbell explains to Jon Gruden and The Draft Show company how “sweet” it is to return to the team that drafted him and —- not simply, after playing 17 seasons —- to sign a one-day contract so that he could retire a Cardinal —- no, what made it sweet for Calais was having the chance to play again in Arizona.

What is the key to playing 18 years in the NFL?

— SleeperCardinals (@SleeperAZCards) May 3, 2025

How amazing is it for Cardinals fans and players to be able to have one member from their lone Super Bowl team on this year’s team, a whopping 17 years later?

How amazing too is that Calais Campbell, playing one of the NFL’s most grueling positions, has aged like a fine Cabernet?

Calais Campbell’s Year to Year PFF Overall Grades:

  • 2008 —- ARZ —- 55.5
  • 2009 —- ARZ —- 68.7
  • 2010 —- ARZ —- 61.6
  • 2011 —-ARZ —- 71.4
  • 2012 —- ARZ —- 76.0
  • 2013 —- ARZ —- 75.1
  • 2014 —- ARZ —- 82.5
  • 2015 —- ARZ —- 84.0
  • 2016 —- ARZ —- 91.2
  • 2017 —- JAX —- 91.0
  • 2018 —- JAX —- 90.9
  • 2019 —- JAX —- 90.3
  • 2020 —- BLT —- 74.7
  • 2021 —- BLT —- 80.8
  • 2022 —- BLT —- 76.9
  • 2023 —- ATL —- 80.0
  • 2024 —- MIA —-82.3

Calais Campbell’s Career Stats:

  • Regular Season Games: 258
  • NFL Playoff Games: 15 (8-7 career record to date)
  • Tackles 652 solo + 156 assists = 808
  • QB Pressures: 776
  • Sacks: 121
  • QB hurries: 478
  • Batted Passes: 58
  • Stops: 617
  • Forced Fumbles: 18
  • Interceptions: 3
  • Penalties: 40

Commentary:

I have always maintained that Calais Campbell was (and is!) the most ideal proto-typical 34 DE the Cardinals have ever drafted. Quite frankly, the Cardinals’ 34 defense has never been the same since he left the team in 2017.

At 6-8, 300, Calais has been, throughout his career, a master of 3,4,5 techniques. Plus, occasionally you can line him up in a 2-point stance to wreak havoc in the A gap or rush him like a galloping giraffe off the edge.

Opposing QBs will tell you; Calais Campbell takes the romance out of the quick-slant pass.

Opposing kickers will tell you: Calais Campbell can take the romance out of a mere chip shot field goal.

Note: CC’s 9 blocked FGs currently makes him the most prolific active FG blocker in the NFL.

Talk about players who make everyone around them better. Calais takes the cake,

Over the course of his 9 seasons with the Cardinals, here is a lineup of arguably his most talented teammates:

  • ED —- Betrand Berry
  • DE —- Darnell Dockett
  • NT —- Corey Peters
  • DE —- Calais Campbell
  • ED —- Dwight Freeney
  • LB —- Karlos Dansby
  • LB —- Daryl Washington
  • CB —- Patrick Peterson
  • SS —- Adrian Wilson
  • FS —- Tyrann Mathieu
  • CB —- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Proof that Calais Campbell helps to make players around him better?

Is a mere coincidence that he was a key cog during the two most impressive stretches in the history of the Arizona Cardinals, both amidst Ken Whisenhunt’s and Bruce Arians’ heydays?

78-64-1

Having attempted to do the math, I believe that of any of the Arizona Cardinals draftees who have played for the Cardinals for more than 5 years, Calais Campbells’ teams have garnered the highest regular season winning percentage in Arizona Cardinals’ team history at 78-64-1.

5-4

Furthermore, along with teammate and fellow long-term Cardinals’ draftee, Larry Fitzgerald, Calais’s teams had most successful playoff record stretch in franchise history at 5-4.

Arizona “you have a winner” back in town!

A winner who is quite possibly, the Cardinals’ G.O.A.T. defensive teammate.

Josh Fryar is a mauling offensive tackle with a nasty streak

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: JAN 20 CFP National Championship - Notre Dame vs Ohio State

Photo by Joe Robbins/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

The Ohio State right tackle is a monster in the run game.

We continue to look through the 2025 NFL undrafted free agent class for the Arizona Caridnals.

Earlier today we looked at an intriguing group of five tight end, now we look at an experienced right tackle from Ohio State who even made the All Big Ten First Team this year.

Josh Fryar has familiarity and is a mauler up front.

From the team:

Fryar (6-5, 320) played five seasons at Ohio State (2020-24) and appeared in 54 games (30 starts). He reunites with Cardinals offensive line coach Justin Frye, who was his position coach at Ohio State the past three seasons. Last year, Fryar started all 16 games at right tackle for the National Champion Buckeyes and earned honorable mention all-Big Ten honors. He was one of only two offensive linemen to start all 16 games for Ohio State last season. In 2023, Fryar started all 13 games at right tackle for Ohio State and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors.

Fryar is intriguing as a run blocker, but does he have the athleticism to play tackle in the NFL, or will he need to kick inside to guard?

Either way, you know new Arizona Cardinals offensive line coach Justin Frye loves him, so he will have a shot to make the roster.

Welcome to the desert, Josh.

Arizona Cardinals sign tight end Josiah Deguara to a one-year contract

NFL: DEC 29 Titans at Jaguars

Photo by David Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

The Arizona Cardinals add a veteran tight end to the roster.

The Arizona Cardinals made a surprising move, adding tight end Josiah Deguara.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed tight end Josiah Deguara (duh-GWAH-ruh) to a one-year contract. The signing took place today at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center in Tempe, AZ.

Deguara (6-2, 240) played 65 games (10 starts) during his first five NFL seasons with the Packers (2020-23) and Jaguars (2024) after being selected by Green Bay in the third round (94th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Cincinnati. He has 50 career receptions for 450 yards and two touchdowns while also totaling 11 tackles in over 800 snaps on special teams. Last season with the Jaguars, Deguara played 15 games and had three receptions to go along with a career-high five tackles on special teams.

As a senior at the University of Cincinnati in 2019, he was a captain and first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection after leading the team with 39 receptions for 504 yards and seven touchdowns.

We will see how Deguara fits into the tight end room, but welcome to the desert, Josiah.

What happened to Michigan’s All-American cornerback Will Johnson?

2025 NFL Draft - Rounds 2 & 3

Why did Will Johnson slide to the Cardinals at pick #47?

Following Michigan’s FBS Championship stunning 34-13 win over the University of Washington, had the 2024 NFL Draft taken place a week later, and had All-Amercian and FBS Championship Game Defensive MVP Will Johnson been eligible, he would have been the #1 ranked CB in the draft, and most likely a sure-fire Top 10 pick.

The first CB taken in the 2024 NFL Draft was Quinyon Mitchell of Toledo who was selected at pick #22 by the Philadelphia Eagles. Mitchell turned in a fantastic rookie season, helping the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX. However, it would have very difficult to imagine that any NFL team would have ranked Mitchell higher than Will Johnson, given how brilliantly Johnson played under the brightest of lights at Michigan.

Following Michigan’s Natty, Jim Harbaugh jumped back into the NFL as HC of the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh’s replacement was Sherrone Moore, the Wolverine’s OC under Harbaugh and interim HC when Harbaugh was suspended.

In 2024, Michigan, having lost QB J.J. McCarthy, RB Blake Corum, WR Roman Wilson, G Zak Zinter and TE A.J. Barner was going to have rely even more heavily on their vaunted defense that was returning DT Mason Graham, CB Will Johnson, NT Kenneth Grant and ED Josiah Stweart and S Rod Moore.

As it turned out, Michigan, by their standards, had a rough season in 2024, finishing 7th in the Big Ten with a 5-4 conference record and 8-5 overall, including their two best wins of the season, a gritty 13-10 upset of the eventual national champion Ohio St. and their impressive 19-13 win over Alabama in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

While the Michigan defense remained one of the best and most intimidating defenses in the country, they played the majority of their games without Will Johnsons due to shoulder and toe injuries.

Chronical of Will Johnson’s injuries:

  • 2022 —- knee injury —- played through it —- 14 games
  • Spring 2023 —- knee surgery —- “Johnson had an osteochondral autograft procedure, which involved transplanting healthy bone and cartilage from another part of his knee to repair damaged areas” (per Wikipedia) —- missed 1st three games of Michigan’s championship season —- played 12 games
  • September 2024 —- shoulder injury —- caused him to miss 1 game
  • October 2024 —- suffered ligament tears in his toe —- out for season after playing 6 games
  • February 2024 —-hamstring injury at the Combine —- did not work out
  • April 2024 —- at his personal Pro Day, he elected not to run the 40, yet ran a 4.33 short shuttle and popped a 33.5” vertical —- and looked smooth in position drills —- but left scouts wondering whether he was 100% healthy.
  • April 2024 —- during the draft:

Michigan CB Will Johnson Jr. has a knee issue that has concerned some NFL teams and helps explain why he still has not been selected.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 25, 2025

Why Michigan CB Will Johnson fell out of the 1st round of the NFL Draft - Maize n Brew

There are always twists and turns on Day 1 of the NFL Draft, but one of the biggest stunners was Michigan cornerback Will Johnson not being selected at all. The former five-star recruit was the Wolverines’ being defensive back over the last couple seasons and was a bona fide top-10 pick at one point during the draft process.

However, after missing half of the 2024 season due to injury and not being able to participate at the
NFL Combine and Michigan’s Pro Day, teams began to get a little worried about Johnson’s health.

Thursday night in the midst of the first round, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that NFL teams are concerned about a “knee issue” that Johnson is dealing with.

This is rather interesting, considering Johnson had been dealing with a toe injury during the season that limited him to just six games. He also had a hamstring injury that prevented him from being able to participate at the combine. The knee injury appears to be a new issue, so that is incredibly concerning that he has now dealt with three separate lower-body injuries over the last six months or so.

Johnson is certainly talented enough to contribute at a high level in the NFL. During his time at Michigan, Johnson was a first-team All-American, first-team All-Big Ten player and was named the Defensive MVP in the National Championship. He set a school record for pick-sixes (3) and had nine total interceptions during his career. He only gave up two touchdowns in coverage as a Wolverine.

Hopefully a team takes a chance on Johnson during Day 2 of the draft.

Will Johnson’s Green Room and Day 2 2025 NFL Draft Experience: (great inside view)

Commentary:

Will Johnson, under the circumstances, was very impressive in this video. What was particularly endearing about him was to see the young man’s hopes, his love for his family and his heritage (as shared with the symbolic broach that his mom pinned on the lapel of his cream-colored jacket) —- plus his affinity for his teammates and genuine happiness for the other players in the Green Room whose names were called during Round 1, while his was not.

Going undrafted in the first round must have been excruciating for the young man and a player of his stature.

However, some NFL Super Bowl stars have known what it feels like to slide out the first round due to injuries —- like TE Rob Gronkowski and most recently, Will Johnson’s fellow 1st Team 2023 All-Big Ten CB Cooper DeJean, who, thanks to a stellar, fully-healthy rookie season, has already joined the likes of Super Bowl winners like Gronk.

  • 2010 #42 pick —- TE Rob Gronkowski, Arizona
  • 2024 #40 pick —- CB Cooper DeJean, Iowa
  • 2025 #47 pick —- CB Will Johnson, Michigan

The After-Draft Aftermath for Will Johnson in his own words:

  • “I’m on a mission, now. They definitely woke me up, for sure.”
  • My knee has been healthy for the past two years.”
  • “I know how my body feels, so I’m just going to go out there and show that on Sundays and show everybody what they missed out on.”
  • “My visit with the Cardinals went great. The coaching staff has great energy.”
  • “Fair to say I was more likely to happen with the Cardinals’ first-round pick at No. 16 than with their second-round pick at No. 47.”
  • “I think I’m going to make a better situation out of everything. So, I’m not too worried about it now. I’m just ready to go prove it.”

from: Cardinals select Will Johnson with No. 47 pick in NFL draft - ESPN

Former Michigan teammate Kenneth Grant, who went 13th overall to the Miami Dolphins, called Johnson the “ultimate competitor.”

“Whatever he’s doing, whether it’s on or off the field, he’s always [competing],” Grant said. “I’ll even go over to his house sometimes and he’s on his iPad watching film. So, when he steps on the field, he’s always going to be ready schematic-wise.

“He’s a dog, bro — injury or not, he’s a dog. He’s going to power through it and hit you, for real.”

Conclusion:

If Will Johnson responds to this setback the way he did after rehabbing his knee injury to then go and help lead Michigan to its first Natty in decades while garnering All-America status and Championship Game MVP, the Cardinals, as long as Will Johnson stays healthy and dialed-in, may have hit one of the all-time NFL Draft super jackpots.

Because it could look a little —- or a lot —- like this:

Interceptions and Pick-Sixes in Cardinals’ History over the last 70 years:

  1. Larry Wilson —- 52 —- 5 TDs
  2. Aeneas Williams —- 46 —- 6 TDs
  3. Roger Wehrli —- 40 —- 2 TDs
  4. Pat Fischer —- 29 —- 3 TDs
  5. Patrick Peterson —- 28 —- 1 TD

Here’s your ladder to climb, Will.

One pick at time.

Which player do you think could crack the 53-man roster to start 2025?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Arizona Cardinals fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

Happy Wednesday one and all.

The Arizona Cardinals and the rest of the NFL are preparing to find out their 2025 NFL schedule... Well the dates and times of most of their games, they already know who is on the schedule.

However, we just finished up the 2025 NFL Draft, and the Cardinals have another smaller undrafted free agent class.

This roster is much, much different than three years ago, so it begs the question, which undrafted free agent has the best chance to make the roster?

This is a tough one.

We know barring something wild that Valentin Senn will be on the practice squad as the Arizona Cardinals new International Pathway Player Program participant, so we are not talking about practice squad like that.

We are asking, which player has the best shot at making the Arizona Cardinals 2025 roster out of training camp from this group of undrafted free agents.

I am interested in your thoughts.

Arizona Cardinals come to terms with four 2025 NFL Draft picks

The team is beginning to sign their 2025 Draft class.

It is nice that draft pick signings are just blips on the offseason radar now, and now it’s more of a story if they are not signed.

For the Arizona Cardinals, they got a large chunk of their 2025 NFL Draft class signed today, coming to terms with four players.

From the team:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has signed the following four 2025 NFL Draft choices to four-year contracts.

Linebacker Jordan Burch (3rd round, 78th overall) from Oregon

Cornerback Denzel Burke (5th round, 174th overall) from Ohio State

Offensive lineman Hayden Conner (6th round, 211th overall) from Texas

Safety Kitan Crawford (pronounced Keaton) (7th round, 225th overall) from Nevada

That leaves their first round pick Walter Nolen, second round pick Will Johnson and fourth round pick Cody Simon left to sign and they’ll be fully loaded.

While it may not be quite as good for the players, the draft slotting has done wonders to make sure teams get their draft classes in quick.

There’s a chance that all of the Cardinals’ 7 draftees can make an immediate impact for the team

Imagine being an Arizona Cardinals’ rookie and as you walk into the team facility with your fellow rookies, you are given a bear hug by Paris Johnson Jr. Such a warm reception is a superb way to symbolize the magnificence of unique opportunities that the Cardinals’ rookies now have right in front of them.

This PJJ greeting to the rookies is awesome! Upon further review, CB Denzel Burke received the second hug, making PJJ’s first three huge to fellow Ohio St. Buckeyes.

Smooth Operator

Cueing up a little Sade ditty this morning to describe Will Johnson’s handling on his first presser at the Cardinals’ facility.

Immediate Impacts?

There’s a chance that all of the Cardinals’ 7 draftees can make an immediate impact for the team.

  • DT Walter Nolen —- possible day 1 starter at DT.
  • CB Will Johnson —- possible day 1 starter as zone CB,
  • DE Jordan Burch —- possible day 1 starter at SOLB.
  • LB Cody Simon —- possible day 1 starter at MLB.
  • G Hayden Conner —- possible day 1 starter at G.
  • CB Denzel Burke —- possible day 1 starter as zone CB.
  • S Kitan Crawford —- possible day 1 starter on special teams.

Every player is a keen fit for the Cardinals’ systems and style of play.

Opportunity knocks.

Which of these Cardinals’ rookies, do you think, will open the door?
