The Montreal Canadiens made two roster moves on Thursday that will greatly help the Laval Rocket. Defenders David Reinbacher and William Trudeau, who have been out since training camp, took the next step towards being able to play AHL games. Both had been on the NHL roster as you cannot send down players who are injured, which means both are likely very close to game action.

The Montreal Canadiens extended their latest win streak to three games on Saturday night, with a second-straight of the overtime variety against the Ottawa Senators. They had to overcome some adversity once again, tying the game late in the third period to force the extra period before Alex Newhook iced it. Tuesday night saw the first matchup between the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers this season, and it couldn’t have gone any worse for the home side in the opening minutes.
