Zdeno Chara hit on Max Pacioretty

Did anyone see Bruins captain Zdeno Chara hit Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty last night? Chara dropped him into the glass between the two benches. In my opinion it was a clean hit just at a bad angle, and at a bad spot on the ice. Pacioretty had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher, and the 2nd period was called off by the refs before the 20 minutes was up. Chara plays the game honestly and I don't think his intentions were to injure Pacioretty. Chara was given a 5 minute major for interference as well as a game misconduct. With the league getting more and more strict with hits I'm sure this one will be reviewed and Chara might face a possible suspension. Youtube it to see for yourself.

He may not have intended to injure him, but it wasn't clean in any way. He nailed him straight in the back. You couldn't even see his crest when he got hit.
 
I'm assuming by crest you mean the logo on his jersey? Which means you are referring to a hit to the back. If you watch the clip you'll see Pacioretty look and see Chara coming. Also the 2 made contact well before the hit was completed. Therefore I don't think it was an unfair hit because Pacioretty knew Chara was there, and he knew contact was being made. It was just at a bad angle on a bad part of the ice.
 
actually, rewatching the clip, I'm starting to agree it was clean. He hit him in the chest ( the first time I saw the video I was on my iPhone, it wasn't very clear. :P). The only thing with the hit, I think it was a but late. The puck was way gone. Chara also seemed to line him up with the glass.
 
It wasn't clean. Pacioretty didn't have puck, Chara had no reason to hit him and it does look like he guided him into the boards, but it's not completely clear what happened.

Police are getting involved....
