That must have been super frustrating for him, as well as the coach, because I doubt he would have been left in if he wouldn't have had the perfect game going. They may have ended up over-working him for nothing, which would suck.
 
He didn't totally overwork him, I think he threw somewhere in the range of 110 pitches which isn't a ton but still a lot.
 
I saw that... what a horrible way to end a perfect game- with a ground ball right between your legs.

And then to be taken out of the game after that... :P
 
Definitely hard work to pitch that many pitches, and at the end of it for nothing which is disappointing to any pitcher honestly. He'll have to sit out for a day or so to get that arm back. :P

Haha yeah. But at least Darvish's imperfect game wasn't actually perfect. :P
