For the past three seasons, Arsenal has always been in pole position to win the league title but somehow, they have bottled and lost the league in those three seasons to teams that were not really in contention.

Some months ago again this season, the league title was completely in the hands of Arsenal as they opened up a massive lead over the second placed team in the log. As of today, the margins are so close.

Would Arsenal bottle and lose the league again this season?

Arsenal are still top of the Premier League table. Note that the points gap is narrowing. After a 1-1 draw with Brentford, they sit on 57 points from 26 games, just four ahead of Manchester City on 53. Aston Villa are also third on 50. Arsenal's run-in includes tough fixtures against Tottenham and Chelsea, as well as a head-to-head with City at the Etihad on April 18. They also face the bottom three teams that will help them pick up points.

So whether they'll "bottle" it again depends on consistency in those crucial fixtures.

There is no way that I don't see Arsenal bottling this league title again. They are still in four competitions and I don't think they have the depths to run those four competitions and still see through to win the league. I see City winning the league more than Arsenal, even when City is behind Arsenal on the log.

In traditional Arsenal fashion, they threw away a two goal lead to draw with the bottom placed team in the league. 7 matches to go and Arsenal is looking like they would drop more points and Manchester City is looking like they won't drop any more point. I can't stake for Arsenal to win the league. But I would do for City.
