What wins Championships?

So in the NFL what wins championships. In the past, the saying has been "Defense wins Championships" but as of late it has been a little different with many teams gaining offensive firepower and not needing a defense to win really. For example the top 2 seeds this year in the NFL (Patriots, Packers) both had the 31st and 32nd defense.

Though a dominant defense is better than a good offense, so I guess defense is more important.
 
Even though it seems to have been offense the past few years, I am still going to go with defense. I can't go against the saying the NFL was founded on.
 
As today showed with the broncos and steelers, offense is more important and was at a premium in that game. i go offense
 
I gotta go with defense on this one. You don't have to have a really good offense to score in a game, but what matters is if your defense can prevent the other team from scoring. Like Mdolszak said, if your defense doesn't give up any points, the worst you can do is tie. :P
 
Alabama proved tonight that a good defense wins championships. Sure it's college, but the idea is the same.

A good defense is a good offense.

Alabama didn't have a very good offense either.... :P

And their scores all came on bad LSU defense, so defense wins championships.
 
Defense duh! But the real choice is both. You're not going to win a championship just playing defense haha. No freakin way!
 
Defense wins championships if you look at the giants 2007 superbowl win they played defense and thats why they won the superbowl.
 
more like Eli Manning clutch performance x) without that, the gmen would have never won!
