If you give up a major penalty, you might as well just give up. 3 goals in 5 minutes, that's just crazy. I don't understand how you can be that undisciplined to commit a penalty like that.

Still, as a Kings fan, heck yeah!

It does not mean give up, its means play smarter hockey. The Devils did not skate during the penalty, hint the three goals in five minutes. If a penalty kill skates as it should any penalty should be killed off. I have seen plenty of five minute majors killed off, but the teams that should actually SKATE during them. In fact in one of my favorite moments ever, a team scored a powerplay goal while having a five minute penalty. The smarter team as well as the one that does not give up almost always prevails.

Now by the way you sound in the post I am guessing you just jumped on the wagon...

I see your point there agentmanningctu. I don't think it's ever been done, 3 penalties in 5 minutes. If it was the player would be pretty good at his job. It's crazy to think you could get 3 penalties in 5 minutes. I think 1/2 in 5 minutes would be pretty good.
