Besides offering mail delivery services, the postal corporation in my country offers international money transfer services. Western Union to be specific.
That exists in my country too, Western Union, but almost nobody uses it here.

I sometimes wonder how postal corporations did not discern the seismic changes that came with the Internet. I mean, these corporations were owned by governments, which are supposed to be well-informed. .

In my country post office offer service of delivery item to people if someone send you a package the right place for you to get it is post office and that is where I received my last item.

Yea. But postal corporations tend to offer inefficient parcel delivery services. Because their offices are few and far in between.
Yes the postal services was becoming incompetent before the advent of private or courier services. But that has been resolved now
