It was quite the season for Brandin Podziemski of the Golden State Warriors, and he has high hopes for next year.

But before he can show what he can achieve in 2025-26, Podziemski has to recover from surgery.

On Thursday morning, the Warriors announced that Podziemski underwent successful left wrist debridement surgery.

Thankfully, the team said he is expected to make a full recovery and will be ready for training camp.

That means Warriors fans don’t have to worry about missing out on Podziemski next season.

Podziemski just enjoyed his second season with the Warriors and averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals during his 64 games.

This was a season of changes for the Warriors, who lost a few players, gained Jimmy Butler, and experienced a whole slew of successes and challenges.

It feels like Golden State is in the midst of some big adjustments, preparing for life without Steph Curry and attempting to fill the roster with players who can be there for years.

Podziemski might end up being one of the faces of the franchise.

He has shown a lot of great promise, including during his first season when he was in the running for Rookie of the Year.

He is now a veteran, and head coach Steve Kerr is clearly quite fond of him, meaning Podziemski might get more time on the court next season.

Of course, the front office may ship him off to another location if they commit to a big trade this summer.

There is a lot of excitement around Podziemski, but questions as well.

He will be back next season, but for now, he is going to rest and recover.

Shaun Livingston Says 1 NBA Finals Team Reminds Him Of Warriors

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers are about to face off in the NBA Finals.

As noted by some basketball fans, this could be the start of a dynasty for either team.

While speaking with NBC Sports, former Golden State Warriors player Shaun Livingston talked about the Thunder and said they remind him of the 2014-15 Warriors.

“[The Oklahoma City Thunder] remind me of [the Warriors’] first year, you know, and the way that they’re connected and also defensively the way that they can just really bite down and lock into guys, 1 through 5,” Livingston told Monte Poole.

That 2014-15 team was something special and a group that is remembered fondly ten years later.

They were great on both ends of the court, capable of shooting from just about anywhere but also powerful enough to shut down all types of opponents.

That was enough to earn a championship at the end of the season.

The same fate might be waiting for the Thunder right now, because they have taken the blueprint laid out by the 2014-15 Warriors and built upon it.

Their offense is absolutely lights-out, but their defense is smothering, too.

This is going to make life really hard for the Pacers, who will also bring a lot to the table with their shooting and guarding.

The NBA is going to crown its seventh different champion in seven years this season, meaning that it’s never been harder to build a dynasty.

But Livingston is seeing things in this current Thunder team that remind him of the squad he was a part of.

Do they have what it takes to not only win a championship this year but for years to come?

Brandin Podziemski of the Golden State Warriors might not be known by every single sports fan, but he wants that to change.

According to a recent quote from Podziemski, shared by NBACentral on X, he has his sights set on becoming an All-Star, and even more.

“I want to be an All-Star — as soon as I can be — whether that’s with Steph and them here, or it’s when they’re done. I want to do that. I want to be an Olympian in 2028 — definitely something I have my sights on. And I just want to be a household name, somewhere where it can be me and a bunch of other guys winning a championship. That’d be kind of ideal for me,” Podziemski said.

Those are some lofty goals, so are they attainable?

Podziemski posted an average of 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game during the 2024-25 season.

He earned a lot of time on the floor, participating for 26.8 minutes per game.

The Warriors still belong to Steph Curry, but some people believe that Podziemski could be a huge part of the generation that runs the team once Curry retires.

Podziemski not only wants to be an All-Star and represent the best of the league, but he also wants to play on behalf of America in the 2028 Olympics.

There may be an opening for him because some stars, such as LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant, may have all played their last Olympics.

If Podziemski wants to make that happen, he will have to keep playing well and working hard and showing the Warriors what he is capable of.

What will next season be like for Podziemski, and will it set the stage for an All-Star appearance and trip to the Olympics in a few years?

Insider Reveals Injury Report On Brandin Podziemski

There is a very good chance that Brandin Podziemski will be an important part of the Golden State Warriors for years to come, which means he needs to stay healthy as much as he can.

Thankfully, he is resolving an issue that could have prevented him from playing well next season.

According to Anthony Slater, Podziemski underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a core muscle injury.

This injury flared up in the middle of the season and bothered him into the playoffs.

He is now expected to be ready for training camp and the season ahead.

Brandin Podziemski underwent surgery yesterday to repair a core muscle injury, Warriors announce. It occurred midseason, forced him to miss games and clearly still bothered him into the summer. Podziemski also had wrist surgery recently. He's expected to be ready for camp.

It was a wild and up-and-down season for the Warriors, and Podziemski was involved in all of it.

During his 64 games, he averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 44.5 percent from the field and 37.2 percent from the three-point line.

He has remained consistent since his rookie season, and head coach Steve Kerr obviously has faith in him.

Kerr called upon him for an average of 26.8 minutes per game and let him start in 33 matches.

There is a chance he will do even more next season.

The Warriors could be very busy during the summer.

They added Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline, which ended up being a smart move, but they may not be done yet.

Fans are expecting them to make some noise, although it’s not clear how much they will do.

Podziemski will likely be with the team next season, but there is always a chance he is a part of a trade package to land another big player.

No matter where he is next year, it sounds like he will be in much better shape after this surgery and recovery.

Warriors Named ‘Team To Monitor’ For Bucks Veteran In Free Agency

The Golden State Warriors faced a slew of problems in 2024-25, and they would like to get better by next season.

That means some changes could be coming, including a few to the roster.

In a new piece, Jake Fischer talked about Bobby Portis, someone the Warriors could pick up during free agency.

“Team executives expect Portis to have numerous potential landing spots in the midlevel market as well, although Milwaukee would like to bring back the 30-year-old forward, sources say,” Fischer wrote in his latest column. “Golden State has always been a team to monitor for Portis, who has a notable fan in head coach Steve Kerr from their shared days during the 2023 FIBA World Cup competition with USA Basketball.”

Portis averaged 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 46.6 percent from the field last season for the Milwaukee Bucks.

He has been in the league for nine years with a career average of 12.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

Portis is the sort of proven veteran who could bring a lot to the Warriors, and they might be more interested in adding him after the Jimmy Butler acquisition.

Some people doubted the addition of Butler, but he ended up being a huge help for the team and is a perfect fit.

Would Portis be a continuation of that, and is he just what the Warriors need?

It is important to note that Fischer said the Bucks would love to keep Portis, so they will attempt to keep him in Milwaukee.

But if he does leave, fans should keep a close eye on the Warriors, because they might jump at the chance to use his skills, experience, and expertise.
