The Golden State Warriors made quite the gamble before the trade deadline.
They acquired Jimmy Butler to boost their team’s chances after a disappointing season so far.
Of course, we’ve seen how impactful Butler can be when he’s healthy and locked in.
On the downside, we’ve also seen how he can wreak havoc around him when he doesn’t get his way.
Even so, Butler is a great two-way player and a fearless competitor.
That’s why Steve Kerr believes his demeanor and swagger will be huge in boosting this team’s confidence.
Talking after the win over the Chicago Bulls, the Warriors’ head coach shared his thoughts on Butler’s arrival (via Anthony Slater):
“That’s the key to me. It’s the swagger he gives us. He gives confidence to the rest of the group, including Steph and Draymond…This is the whole point of the deal, to inject that confidence and presence Jimmy brings,” he said.Steve Kerr on Jimmy Butler presence: “That’s the key to me. Some are worried about Butler and Draymond Green being in the same locker room.
They’re both harsh players who don’t mince their words.
Then again, these are all veterans pushing for a common goal.
The Warriors organization has grown used to competing at the highest level and going after NBA championships.
This move proves that they still believe they can win another ring with Stephen Curry at the helm.
Butler will give this team a big boost on defense and another big playmaker for their motion offense.
His fit on the offense is a bit of a question mark, as he’s never been much of a floor-spacer.
Only time will tell whether the Warriors made the right choice, but being able to hold onto their young players in this move was a big win.

The Golden State Warriors were one of the most active teams in trade discussions during the NBA trade deadline as they desperately tried to find a star to pair with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
The Warriors have slipped in the Western Conference standings due to a mix of a young roster and older veterans, so an infusion of talent was sorely needed.
Golden State eventually got the star they wanted, landing Jimmy Butler in a blockbuster deal that allowed them to send out Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson, and a first-round pick.
Butler now gives Curry and Green a legitimate star option to work with, and the trio will be together beyond this season as the team gave Butler a two-year extension following the deal.
However, Butler wasn’t Golden State’s first choice, as the team was reportedly getting close to a Kevin Durant trade.
Durant rejected a proposed trade to return to the Warriors, but Green, according to Mark Medina of Sportskeeda, wasn’t shaken up by the decision at all.
“Didn’t affect my life one bit. Why would it?” Draymond said.Draymond on Kevin Durant reportedly rejecting trade to Warriors:

Green was reportedly a large reason for Durant’s departure from the Bay Area after the two butted heads on and off the court, though, for a moment, there seemed to be a real shot they could reunite.
However, Durant ended up staying put with the Phoenix Suns and now the Warriors get to enjoy working in Butler.
It remains to be seen whether this move resolves Golden State’s issues, but it’s certainly fun to imagine what it would have been like if Durant returned to his former team.

There were plenty of reasons to like Jimmy Butler’s arrival with the Golden State Warriors.
There were more than enough reasons to be worried as well.
Injury-proneness and age aside, Butler’s temper has always been a bit of a red flag.
Add another volatile player like Draymond Green into the mix, and it could be a recipe for disaster.
Nevertheless, so far, things seem to be going well in the Bay Area.
Shortly after making his debut with his new team, Butler admitted to being ‘thankful’ for Green, who’s been very supportive during this time.
Green has also been his quarterback, telling him where to go on the court while he gets used to his new system.
“Hell, I don’t know too many of the plays right now anyway, so he’s definitely telling me where to go on the floor. And I’m grateful, he’s shown me so much grace in understanding I am new here, even though I’ve been around the league for so long. He’s showing me the way, and I’m very thankful for Draymond,” he said.Jimmy Butler on Draymond Green:

Both Butler and Green have cultivated a tough reputation around the Association.
They’ve both proven to be strong, vocal, and uplifting leaders.
They’ve also taken things a little too far multiple times in the past.
They’re two proven veterans pushing towards a common goal, and they know that they can get it done if they play together.
The Warriors made a huge gamble by going after an aging player who didn’t seem to want to be there to begin with.
This move could either help them make one final championship run during Stephen Curry’s prime or end it altogether.

Steph Curry has now played with Jimmy Butler for two games and he has already noticed a difference.
Speaking to Anthony Slater and the press on Monday following Golden State’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks, Curry talked about what he is seeing from Butler.
“Every possession just doesn’t feel as hard. You still see attention, you still see defense, but you have to worry about something else. … You’re just creating good looks,” Curry said, per ClutchPoints."Every possession just doesn't feel as hard. Curry and Butler are working well together.
During Monday’s game, Curry posted 38 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Butler racked up 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
They were a major reason why the Warriors sailed to a win over the Bucks.
During his first two games, Butler has scored 25 and 20 points, and he looks to be seamlessly adjusting to his role on the team.
Some people weren’t sure how he’d fit in Golden State.
Could his style of play work well with Curry and head coach Steve Kerr’s plans?
Plus, would he be able to shake off months of disgruntled play and actually participate and lead?
Things are looking good so far, but time will tell if this is a strong, longer-term partnership.
The Warriors have no time to waste because they remain the 10th team in the West with a 27-26 record.
Thankfully, Butler is playing well so far, and Curry has been on a tear over his last four games.
Could the Warriors be turning a corner, and has Butler joined the team right as they get back on track?

The Golden State Warriors have now won two games in a row with Jimmy Butler on the roster.
However, while Butler has shown promise, he’s not the only reason they have been playing well.
As pointed out by StatMuse, Steph Curry has been terrific over the last four games.
It all started with a 32-point performance against the Utah Jazz, followed by 37 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Curry then scored 34 points against the Chicago Bulls and 38 versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
Meanwhile, his three-point shooting has been smooth too.
After some ups and downs this season, Curry is playing amazing basketball, but is it too late for his Warriors?

37 PTS | 6 3P
32 PTS | 6 3P pic.twitter.com/dGllq9NWmA

Curry has a career average of 23.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists on 43.6 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from the three-point line.
His numbers have dipped since last year, and it’s just one of the many problems facing the Warriors right now.
The team is now the 10th in the West with a 27-26 record.
If the playoffs started today, they would be in the play-in tournament, but they obviously want to be doing better than that.
If that is going to happen, Curry will need to keep playing like this.
However, he has more backup now that Jimmy Butler has joined the squad.
During his first two games with the Warriors, Butler has put up 25 and 20 points, respectively.
He is already looking better than he was during his last stretch of games with the Miami Heat.
This is perhaps invigorating Curry because he has been wanting a teammate like Butler and a second option he can count on.
The Warriors want to keep putting wins under their belt so they can carve a path to the playoffs and remind people what a special team they are.

Stephen Curry’s legacy in the NBA transcends his on-court brilliance, marking him as one of the most transformative figures in basketball history.
While the GOAT debate often centers around LeBron James and Michael Jordan, Curry’s influence on the modern game stands unmatched.
His revolutionary playing style has not only changed basketball but also inspired a whole new generation of players, from NBA stars to young hopefuls dreaming of making it to the league.
The three-point revolution that defines today’s NBA? That’s pure Steph Curry.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recently highlighted Curry’s impact, particularly in women’s basketball, dubbing him “a commissioner’s dream.”
As reported by KNBR on X, Silver stated:
“Steph is a commissioner’s dream… He plays with real joy, and he’s so relatable as a player. I actually think the growth we’ve seen in girls and womens basketball is directly related to Steph… I think Steph has been responsible for a surge in growth and participation globally.”NBA Commissioner Adam Silver praises Steph Curry:

Curry’s influence extends beyond his shooting prowess.
This past summer, he took the initiative to visit NBA headquarters, meeting with Adam Silver to discuss potential improvements to the All-Star Game.
His input proved valuable, leading to significant changes in the event’s format and demonstrating his commitment to enhancing the game’s showcase events.
The Golden State Warriors superstar’s approach to improving the All-Star Game format – whether through shorter games or structural changes – caught the league’s attention.
Working alongside fellow players and representatives, Curry helped Silver and the NBA develop strategies to boost the event’s competitive spirit.
This kind of engagement, combined with his stellar play and positive influence, makes him not just a fan favorite but a crucial voice in shaping basketball’s future.

Jimmy Butler has been looking pretty comfortable during his first three games with the Golden State Warriors, scoring 25, 20, and 21 points respectively.
But just because he has been putting up strong point totals doesn’t mean Butler is completely satisfied with his game.
On Wednesday night, Butler talked to Anthony Slater and the press and opened up about one part of his performances that needs to be improved.
Saying that he hates turnovers, Butler added that protecting the ball “is what I’m supposed to be doing.”
“That’s tough. I gotta be better. Damn sure late game, at that,” Butler said.Jimmy Butler: “I hate turnovers. I don’t turn the ball over. (Protecting the ball) is what I’m supposed to be doing. That’s tough. I gotta be better. Damn sure late game, at that.” pic.twitter.com/ypH8EOe3RK
— Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) February 13, 2025
During Wednesday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Butler turned the ball over three times.
That number could be worse, but it isn’t sitting right with him and he wants to improve for his new team.
Fans are happy to see Butler so intent on getting better, especially after the last month and all his drama with the Miami Heat.
Butler was clearly checked out of that team and wasn’t pushing himself at all, but that isn’t the case with the Warriors.
Golden State needs him to be playing at a high level and everyone else has to follow his lead.
The Warriors are currently 10th in the West with an even 27-27 record.
They will be playing the Houston Rockets on Thursday night and then get to enjoy a week off because of the All-Star Game, which happens to be in San Francisco.
Will the Warriors enter the All-Star break with a winning record or will they be below .500 again?
And will Butler improve his turnover issues in the weeks ahead?

The Dallas Mavericks secured a thrilling 111-107 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, with Kyrie Irving delivering a spectacular 42-point performance.
As these Western Conference rivals wrapped up their third encounter of the season, anticipation already builds for their final showdown scheduled for February 23.
In the aftermath of this intense battle, Irving took time to share his thoughts on competing against Stephen Curry, offering genuine appreciation for his longtime peer.
The Mavericks guard’s admiration for Curry runs deep, placing him in the pantheon of the NBA’s greatest point guards alongside legends like Magic Johnson and Isaiah Thomas.
“I’ve gone on record saying that, that’s the guy for us as point guards, outside of Magic (Johnson) and Isaiah Thomas, Steph has etched himself as one of the most legendary players of all-time. For me, that’s me just testing my game against him… When you go against the best of the best you want to play well,” Irving remarked.Kyrie Irving on playing against Steph Curry:

Their matchups over the years have produced some memorable moments, built on a foundation of mutual respect and understanding.
While Irving has tasted championship success once, Curry’s multiple titles have cemented his legacy among basketball’s elite.
This disparity, however, only fuels Irving’s drive for excellence.
The respect Irving holds for Curry stems purely from their competitive encounters on the court.
He views Curry’s two MVP awards and legendary status not as a source of envy, but as inspiration.
Their relationship exemplifies how elite athletes can push each other to greater heights while maintaining a profound respect for one another’s achievements.

Steph Curry is now 36 years old and seems to have retirement on his mind.
He has been speaking about retiring more often, and it’s obvious that he’s closer to the end of his career than the beginning.
Curry has a picture in his mind of how he wants his last few years to go and has been thinking about the late Kobe Bryant regularly.
Talking with Tim Kawakami, Curry made it abundantly clear that he wants his Golden State Warriors to remain competitive as retirement approaches.
“You don’t want to be in a situation the Lakers were in those last three years with Kobe. I know he came off the Achilles injury, but… they were a lottery team, and it was more just how many points can Kobe score down the stretch of his career. I don’t want to be in that scenario,” Curry said, per Legion Hoops.Steph Curry:
“You don’t want to be in a situation the Lakers were in those last three years with Kobe. I know he came off the Achilles injury, but… they were a lottery team, and it was more just how many points can Kobe score down the stretch of his career. I don’t want to be… pic.twitter.com/xYwuDRd8md
— Legion Hoops (@LegionHoops) February 14, 2025
The last several seasons of Bryant’s career were essentially a farewell tour.
Bryant was still producing decent numbers, even after his devastating Achilles injury, but the Los Angeles Lakers were a complete mess.
The 2015-16 Lakers held a 17-65 record even as Bryant averaged 17.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.
The Warriors aren’t at that point yet with their 28-27 record, but Curry is afraid of his team falling apart as he gets closer to hanging up his jersey.
He wants this last chapter of his career to be filled with postseason success and a legitimate shot at winning one more championship before it’s all over.
When Curry does retire, he wants it to be with a Warriors team that actually competes, not one that just celebrates him and waits for him to step away.

One big rumor that was making the rounds prior to last week’s NBA trade deadline had Kevin Durant being traded by the Phoenix Suns back to the Golden State Warriors, one of his former teams.
The rumored deal had Durant returning to the Bay with Jimmy Butler going to the Suns, but the deal reportedly fell apart because Durant wasn’t interested in a reunion.
Instead, Butler made his way to the Dubs, while the Suns stood pat.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr seems to understand why the future Hall of Famer didn’t want a second go-around with the Warriors, per Legion Hoops.
“I don’t blame Kevin Durant one bit for not wanting to rerun things here. He took so much s— for like, ‘Oh, you’re jumping on the bandwagon’. And then he’s Finals MVP two years in a row. It’s like he still gets criticized… So why would he want to face all that B.S. again?”Steve Kerr:

Durant played his first nine seasons with the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder, and it looked like he would be there for perhaps his entire career, especially after he led the Thunder to the 2012 NBA Finals.
But once he became a free agent in 2016, all bets were off, especially since the Thunder had just blown a 3-1 series lead to the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
When he joined Stephen Curry and the Warriors that summer, it was seen as a weak move, especially since they had won 73 games in the 2015-16 season and taken home the NBA championship the season prior to that.
But they won it all in both of the next two seasons, and they likely needed Durant in order to do so.
There are now rumors that Durant will get traded this summer after the Suns have had to endure a couple of fruitless years with him, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal on their roster.

The Golden State Warriors, who have been in steady decay for the last two years, have some new life right now thanks to the recent trade that brought them veteran forward Jimmy Butler, a six-time All-Star.
They have won three of their first four games with Butler, and they head into the All-Star break with a 28-27 record, which puts them in 10th place in the Western Conference.
While no one is picking the Warriors to reach the NBA Finals this season, they do have some nice pieces around Butler and Stephen Curry, including Brandin Podziemski, their promising second-year shooting guard.
He was recorded making a full-court shot during practice, and the video of him doing so is going viral.
After winning it all in 2022, the Warriors have been steadily declining, resulting in them missing the playoffs last season, and it looked like this season they would even miss the play-in tournament.
Now with Butler, they could turn into a team that no one will want to face in the play-in tournament or the playoffs.
He demanded a trade from the Miami Heat several weeks ago, and almost at the last minute, he got his wish while also agreeing to a contract extension with Golden State that runs through the 2026-27 season.
In four games with his new team, he’s averaging 21.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists a game, and during that span, Curry, whose numbers this season are below par for him, has put up 31.0 points a game.
Perhaps the full impact of Butler’s arrival in Golden State won’t be seen until next season when the team will have a full training camp with him.

The Golden State Warriors won their last game before hosting the All-Star Break.
Still, they can’t allow all the bright lights and celebrities in town to distract them from their main goal.
They have 27 games left in the season, and they have little margin for error.
That’s why, when asked about the team’s outlook for the final stretch of the campaign, Draymond Green admitted that they needed to take care of business (via Anthony Slater).

The Warriors are 28-27 on the season, and while floating around .500 might not necessarily be a bad thing, it’s clearly not good enough to win an NBA championship.
That’s even more evident in the stacked Western Conference.
Despite their positive record, they’re still No. 10 in the West.
Trading for Jimmy Butler was a bold move, especially considering how much money they will have to pay him.
Then again, that also shows that the front office still believes they can make another championship run with Stephen Curry at the helm.
It won’t be easy, but they should be able to get past the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings in the standings, and even if the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs are also potential threats in the playoff race, they’re in a better position than all of them right now.
The season has officially started in the Bay area.

As the NBA All-Star weekend unfolds in the Bay Area with the Golden State Warriors playing host, Stephen Curry has sparked an intriguing conversation about league transparency.
The sharpshooter, known for revolutionizing basketball with his three-point prowess, now has his sights set on transforming another aspect of the game.
During the media session, where discussions often drift toward potential rule changes, Curry proposed an innovative idea that could reshape how we view officiating.
His suggestion? Make referee performance grades public, similar to how player statistics are readily available.
“I’d want to see the refs grading system. Let that be more public, the same way our stats are shown. Not to make their job any harder, because it’s really hard job, but it would be interesting from the fan and player perspective to know why the ref is great and how they grade him,” Curry explained, via KNBR.What’s one change to the league Steph wants to see?
“I probably would want to see the refs grading system, that would be more public. The same kind of way our stats are shown on a nightly basis.” pic.twitter.com/AEf3erb5bN
— KNBR (@KNBR) February 15, 2025
A public grading system for officials could add another layer of transparency, potentially addressing common complaints about consistency in foul calls and free throw discrepancies.
Some players seem to get away with physical defense, while others find themselves in foul trouble for minimal contact.
While officiating remains one of basketball’s most challenging aspects, with split-second decisions required in a fast-paced environment, public accountability could drive improvements.
Just as players face constant statistical scrutiny, extending this transparency to referees might enhance the overall quality of officiating and enrich the viewing experience for fans.

The Golden State Warriors have been among the best teams in the NBA for over a decade.
They’ve won four NBA titles since 2015, an organization that consistently finds ways to win, even despite injuries and roster turnover.
Winning this much in any professional league is a difficult task, but the Warriors have a championship DNA that’s allowed them to stay relevant and dominant.
While they have won all of these championships, most recently in 2022, the consensus on the Warriors is that they don’t have what it takes to win this year.
There are several strong rosters in the Eastern and Western Conference, and considering the Warriors currently hold the 10th-best record in the West, they have a lot of ground to make up to make the playoffs, let alone go on a deep postseason run.
The team’s current standing didn’t stop Draymond Green from making a bold statement on TNT during the All-Star Weekend, as NBA Central highlighted on X.
“I said I think we’re going to win a championship, but I lied, we are going to win the championship,” Green said.Draymond Green says the Warriors are going to win the championshippic.twitter.com/nbBFCJ5eFS![]()

Green is confident in himself and his team’s ability to get the job done this year, even though they might not have as great of a regular season record as they’ve had in the past.
Acquiring Jimmy Butler could be viewed as a catalyst move that allows them to become championship contenders, but his role on the team remains to be seen.
There are still several months left in the season, so it will be interesting to monitor if Green’s prediction comes to fruition.

Kendrick Perkins has not been shy making his thoughts clear about the Golden State Warriors of late.
The ESPN analyst boldly compared Jimmy Butler to Nicki Minaj, implying the Warriors were expecting a superstar of the caliber of Taylor Swift or Beyoncé but ended up with a lesser talent instead.
Though he later apologized to Minaj, the point was made, suggesting he didn’t believe Butler was the game-changer Golden State needed.
His skepticism runs deep, particularly regarding the team’s playoff prospects.
Despite Butler’s impressive track record, including leading the Miami Heat to a surprising run as an eighth seed just two years ago, Perkins sees limited potential for Golden State.
“The ceiling for this Golden State Warriors team this season is first round,” Perkins said, via NBA on ESPN. “… I just don’t think they have enough pieces.”.@KendrickPerkins believes the Warriors' ceiling is a "first round exit"pic.twitter.com/J9mXcCQLiO![]()

The former NBA champion didn’t stop there. While acknowledging the Warriors’ solid foundation, Perkins emphasized the remaining gaps that need addressing.
The addition of Butler has brought positive changes, particularly in creating more offensive opportunities for Stephen Curry.
However, their current position in the Western Conference standings puts them at risk of needing to navigate the play-in tournament just to secure a playoff berth.

The Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler are finally done with one another.
However, even though the former All-Star is now in the Bay Area, the way he carried himself to force his exit from his former team left a bad taste in plenty of people’s mouths.
Notably, that includes former player Tim Hardaway.
Talking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Hardaway didn’t mince his words about Butler, going as far as to call him a crybaby.
"[Jimmy Butler's] a baby. [He's] a crybaby"
Heat and Warriors legend Tim Hardaway Sr. had some choice words for Jimmy Butler with @TheFrankIsola and @TermineRadio #HeatCulture pic.twitter.com/26QkHPiF0V
— SiriusXM NBA Radio (@SiriusXMNBA) February 18, 2025
Hardaway ripped Butler for not being able to take no for an answer.
More than that, he believes that Butler should’ve been more professional instead of disrespecting his coach and his teammates by trying to mess up the team.
It’s hard to disagree with that.
Butler had plenty of reasons to be mad at Pat Riley, and with him not being willing to sign a contract extension, chances are the Heat would’ve ended up trading him anyway.
As good a player as he is, he’s burned a lot of bridges everywhere he’s gone, and it’s not like he has several NBA championship rings to show for that.
Also, he’s been hurt more often than not, and his lack of availability constantly hurt the Heat.
Being injured isn’t his fault, and his teammates could’ve respected him if he missed games because of that.
But constantly putting himself over everybody else, which has been a trend with him in the past, makes it hard to defend him.
The Golden State Warriors made a big gamble, and only time will tell if it will pay off.

Right before the NBA trade deadline, there was a flurry of rumors saying Kevin Durant could be moved back to the Golden State Warriors.
Then came word that Durant vetoed the idea, and the Warriors instead made a move to acquire Jimmy Butler.
There was much speculation about why Durant rejected a Warriors move, and now he is speaking about it.
While talking with ESPN, he opened up about those rumors.
“People talk crazy about me all the time. That’s not the reason why I didn’t want to come back. I just didn’t want to get traded midway through the season. It was nothing against my time with the Warriors, or I heard because I didn’t like Draymond. At the end of the day, I just didn’t want to move and I wanted to see it through with my team in Phoenix and see what we can do the rest of the season. I’m glad I’m still there,” Durant said, per Courtside Buzz.Kevin Durant on why he didn’t want to return to Golden State at the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline:

— Courtside Buzz (@CourtsideBuzzX) February 19, 2025
As Durant mentioned, some people said he didn’t want to return to Golden State because he wasn’t happy with his time there and didn’t like playing with Draymond Green.
That isn’t the case at all, according to Durant.
Instead, he just didn’t want to leave the Phoenix Suns in the middle of the season and wanted to see what they could do for the rest of the year.
This means that there is no bad blood between him and Golden State, and it also means he could pack his bags in the summer.
If the Suns don’t have a very successful second half of 2024-25, Durant might be open to moving.
He may not head to the Warriors, especially since they received Butler, but Durant could be staking out with a new team by the time next season begins.
This statement from Durant clears stuff up, but also opens the door for the next round of speculation.

This might be the end of the line for Jimmy Butler in the NBA.
He’s not getting any younger, and with all the bridges he’s burned throughout the course of his career, he needs to make things work this time around.
Fortunately for him, he feels right at home in the Bay Area.
In a recent interview, the former Miami Heat star raved about the Golden State Warriors, gushing about their championship-caliber organization and how good he feels there (via ClutchPoints).
"I'm so happy over there. [Warriors are] top-notch. I get to play with Steph [Curry] so I'm a fan of him, just like 99.9% of the world and a chance of winning a championship, what more can you ask for?"

Of course, that’s usually how things start before the train goes off the rails.
Then again, everybody knows they need this to work.
The Warriors’ front office traded for him despite all the risks that came with him because they truly felt like they could make another championship run during Stephen Curry’s prime.
That might be either this season or the year after it.
Butler will make a lot of money, and as such, there will be steep expectations for him.
He holds himself to a high standard, and he’s the kind of hard-nosed leader and competitor who won’t hesitate to get in anybody’s face.
That might be just what this team needs after going up and down throughout the course of the season.
Butler is one of the best playoff performers in the game, and he’s a proven stopper.
His fit in the offense is questionable, to say the least, but great players usually figure out a way to be impactful.
Whether he’ll be the answer to the fans’ prayers remains to be seen.

Some fans were elated when rumors of Kevin Durant returning to the Golden State Warriors emerged a few weeks ago.
Those rumors never developed into anything substantial and Durant said he didn’t wish to leave the Suns, but people are still talking about this possibility.
And some feel that Durant and the Warriors remain on a course to reconciliation.
Speaking on 95.7 The Game, Nick Friedell said he thinks Durant will return to the Warriors soon.
“I still absolutely believe that a reconciliation is possible. That a reunion with KD and Steph and Kerr and we’ll see what happens with Draymond… I think it can happen. Because the respect is there,” Friedell said."I still, absolutely believe, that a reconciliation is possible. That a reunion with KD and Steph and Kerr and we'll see what happens with Draymond… I think it can happen. Because the respect is there."

Right before the trade deadline, the rumors about Durant coming back to Golden State were everywhere.
The team’s front office allegedly attempted to put a deal together, but it ended up going nowhere and Durant said he wanted to remain with the Suns, at least for the rest of the season.
That means he could be swayed in the summer to head to Golden State, even though there are stories of him being unhappy with the team and not on good terms with Draymond Green.
But Friedell said there is respect among everyone involved and that will count for a lot.
However, is a move for Durant even possible right now, especially since the Warriors recently acquired Jimmy Butler?
The truth is that multiple teams would attempt to get Durant if he and the Suns decided to part ways.
A return to the Warriors might be most exciting, but Golden State will have tons of competition.
