Anyone here have a twitter? Do you participate in Teitter contests? If so, what have you won?
 
I have a couple Twitter accounts, including this forum's official Twitter account, but I don't know what a Twitter contest is?
 
I had a Twitter account but never used it... I'm pretty sure it's currently advertising multiple different weight-loss pills.
 
For those of you that wonder what a twitter contest is, it is a contest where you answer a question or retweet something someone says through twitter (such as a sports team or an athlete) EX: Imagine Andrew McCutchen says that "if this tweet gets 500 retweets then I will give away an autographed baseball to one loyal follower who retweets this tweet".


I've won several items such as a John Candelaria signed baseball, a Jason Pridie signed baseball, and a Pirates tshirt

Oh that sounds pretty cool. That's awesome that you won some things.

Oh, I actually did do one of those then. One time I retweeted my local events center account's tweet because they were giving away 2 Pink Floyd tickets to someone who retweeted it. I didn't win though... :(

Yeah, they're Pridie (get it?) fun. They actually put some fun into looking at your timeline.
 
I have shared a few Facebook posts that were similar to something like this, but I have never done this with Twitter. I will look into it. :)
 
Yeah, Ken Griffey Jr's page on Facebook does these a lot, but I've never done it on Twitter.
