Polamalu wins this one largely because he's younger. Ed Reed is past his prime, and while he's still an elite safety, Polamalu is just way more tenacious.

Troy Polamalu may be younger, but he has spent most of the past few seasons battling injuries, unfortunately. :(
 
That's a really tough decision for me. Both are future HOFers, and both have terrified me, as a Bengals fan.

I'm gonna have to go with Polamalu. He's just such a smart and talented athlete.
 
I went with Polamalu as well. He is a play maker. What he does when he is healthy is amazing. Ed Reed is like the king of interceptions though. As 209 said, they will both be in the Hall of Fame one day.
 
Troy Polamalu is an amazing player when he's not hurt. He can change the game with one amazing catch or forced fumble. Plus when they stack him on the line there's a really good chance of him getting a sack.
