While we have all probably swam in our lives before, how many of you do it as a recreational activity or sport in itself?

I've been doing club ever since I have been 4. Now, almost 13 years later, I'm hoping to earn a scholarship to swim in college. My sister recently got almost a full ride to swim at a Division 1 school. While I am not as good as her, I hope that swimming can be helpful in financing my college tuition. I really enjoy swimming though. The pool is a fantastic place to focus and just unwind from my day. Additionally, it is a life skill. I am amazed by the number of people who can't even swim.

I swim for fun all the time, but I've never done it competitively.

I swim probably every other day at my friend's house, unless I go on a vacation. I don't swim on my school's team or anything though.

I enjoy swimming and I do get a bit competitive with some of my friends when we all are at the pool together. My cousin does it at his school and she really enjoys it and 1 of my older cousin does it as well and he enjoys it. I have seen a few meets of theirs and I find it really neat and I do see why they enjoy it so much.

I go swimming very rarely but when i go i have a couple of lengths of swimming up and down the pool. After i get out i have worn myself out and i am tired at the end of the night. Also i go swimming with my friends and take my family swimming we all have fun in the pool

I love swimming and ended up becoming a swimming teacher and a beach and pool lifeguard, it really doesn't surprise me that a lot of people can not swim, as when you think of all the costs involved some people can not just afford it and they would rather spend it on other things.

I used to like swimming but now, I am too busy. While I was studying at university, in the summer, I was a lifeguard. It's a nice experience. :)

Swimming is amazing and is almost becoming one of my favourite sports and the one I do most often! I only partake in it, I do not follow swimming on TV or anything. I am currently on a provincial swim team for my age group which is such a blast, even if we have to travel all around for meets! As well, I am currently training to be a lifeguard, which would be a great highschool job. :)

I swim in my pool in my backyard every few days in the summer, and at the lake occasionally, but I don't swim competitively or anything like that. In the winter I might go swimming at the recreation centre once or twice. I'm not particularly good at it but I do enjoy it. :)

I used to swim more as a kid and I used to take lessons every yeah. However, now I rarely swim much but it's still good exercise.

A few years ago I did lifeguard training. For my senior year in high school I'll be joining the swim team. I'm pretty excited for that.

I've just been swimming lately for fun.
