Have you ever had a bad soccer injury?

I have had a few. I have sprained my ankle at least 6 or 7 times during matches, dislocated my shoulder goalkeeping, and broken my pinkie finger on a penalty kick save.

At least with my dislocated shoulder I made the save. :)

What are some of your stories?

I've never had one, but a friend of mine tore her ACL at the end of last season. She's playing again this season though, so apparently it wasn't super serious.

Oh really she played right after? My girlfriend tore her ACL in a basketball game and it took her 9 months of recovery to get back to playing on teams.

I tore my IT band, it was the sorest thing ever, it was really hard to walk for days, have to wear orthotics now as well.

Well, I'm not exactly sure how long the off-season was, but it was several months, so she didn't play right after. Still a pretty quick recovery though.

I have never been seriously injured, but I have broke my leg in basketball. It was really bad. In soccer, I don't think that anyone can be seriously injured. But it depends on the style of each player. If you are aggressive, you will be injured.

I received a hairline fracture of my right ankle when i was at school. Went in for a tackle on a teacher, Our feet collided and i went down like a sack of shite.

I injured my knee very badly a few years ago, I still suffer from that.

That injury meant I would never be able to play soccer properly again.
