NFL Pro-Bowl LB Junior Seau has died at 43.

Seau was named to 12 Pro-Bowls in his career, which was spent mostly in San Diego with the Chargers.

This is really sad, and totally unexpected.

RIP.
 
Wow very sad. Great player. It's looking towards this being a suicide. Makes it that much sadder.
 
Too bad,
and just a note, he rode his truck off a cliff attempting suicide a couple years ago..
 
Wow that's sad... even more so if it was suicide.

Today has been a very sad day here as well. A student at my school died in a car accident right by the school today.

Anyways, that's irrelevant to this. I personally find this a life lesson if this is in fact a suicide. It just goes to show that fame and fortune doesn't give you happiness.
 
A very sad day in sports. He was such a great football player even when I was growing up. I really wished he would have won a ring the year he was on the almost undefeated Patriots. R.I.P. to one of the greats and future hall of famer Junior Seau.

Like Cmt said, this just shows that money and fame doesn't equal happiness.
 
Well, now doctors are asking to study Seau's brain, which is still intact. Seau shot himself numerous times in the chest, so many are speculating that he wanted all along for his brain to be studied for concussions so that the NFL can improve helmets and help others down the road.

Now that's giving back to the NFL. Really sad it had to be this way though.
 
Today, some of Seau's friends said that Seau had insomnia, so that may have been related to his suicide.
