The Seattle Seahawks fielded a surprisingly potent offense during the 2025 season, setting a franchise record for points scored on the season.
Much of the credit for the offense being as prolific as it was goes to third year wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who finished the regular season with a league-leading 1,793 receiving yards as he proved to be completely unguardable for most of the season. JSN’s receiving yardage total this season actually eclipsed his production from the first two years of his career combined, as the 163 passes he hauled in during the 2023 and 2024 seasons yielded the Seahawks a total of 1,758 yards.
That performance earned JSN a nod as a First-team All Pro at wide receiver earlier this month, and now the Pro Football Writers of America have voted him the Offensive Player of the Year.

It’s certainly an award that JSN and Seahawks fans will enjoy, but an even bigger award awaits Sunday when Seattle hosts the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field in the NFC Championship Game with a Super Bowl berth on the line.
