Yes, in PE we can play basketball. Now we can choose what we play but i don't choose basketball because i don't like it that much. I like badminton and table tennis more.
Our school has about 2000 students in it. Every year the seniors can sign up for a random drawing (and there are rumors that this "drawing" isn't really random, but I signed up my senior year for the annual student-staff basketball game. I got picked, and so we had 2 mandatory practices late at night, then the game. The game was played towards the end of the day for the week day in the 2nd semester before finals. I got picked, and out practices were us all slitting up into two teams and playing each other in a game. I know that our practices were horrible. We were literally running into each other most of the time. We were not good. Our coach was one of the 3 Mr. Ginders at the school. He was one of the vice principals and he was going to be playing for the teachers, our own coach, playing against us in the game :o But come gameday, we were ready. We had to win to make it a 3 year succession of the students beating the teachers. We got off to an early lead in the first half, and I scored a 2-point basket that increased our lead, and when anyone of the students scored a basket, all the students would roar. If you never had that many people cheer for you at one time it's an amazing feeling. I was able to make the buzzer shot for the first half, but missed the shot sadly. It was the 2nd half that we knew the teachers would really step up the game, and we lost big time. We were down 5, then 8, then 14, then 20 before we knew it. We couldn't handle them like we did in the first half. Our coach warned us that the teachers go easy on us the first half to kinda get our hopes up, but then they unleash thier power. Those teachers on the court, they meant business. We just couldn't produce.

Our school has 4 massive P.E halls, the biggest hall has sixteen nets in it and the other one has eight nets in it. Also on the roof of our building is believed to be a private Basketball court that no pupil has entered.
Our school does have a basketball court (a big one in the gym and a smaller one in a smaller gym). I do believe we have a basketball team. I've never seen them play before though. I might go to one of their games soon. :P
Mine has both! We have 2 gyms (big and small). We also of course have a basketball team that's beast! (We're called the Beast) I'm glad I'm at this school because of that lol.
Grand opening was pushed back once again, we'll just say it's TBA for now. We are still waiting on the completion of some custom development that has been in the works.
