Redwings Missing Playoffs?

They are only in by two points so them missing the playoffs is a real possibility, but unheard of. It has been 20years since they missed the postseason. I wouldn't say it would be a bad thing, but that streak really needs to continue on. I have yet to see them miss the playoffs in my lifetime.

Will they make it or is the streak over?
 
They're not the same team as they were in the years past. I could see them snagging the 8 seed, if making the playoffs at all
 
losing lidstrom and Stuart on the blueline really hurt not to mention homer in front. all 3 were big pieces lost that have not been replaced
