We are more than one week into the 2026 league year, and the Ravens have been all over the headlines with their moves in free agency. Baltimore lost a number of key players but addressed a number of roster holes by signing Trey Hendrickson, John Simpson, and Jaylinn Hawkins.

With the initial frenzy over, the Ravens can now scour the market for value adds to round out the squad ahead of April’s draft. Which positions should they prioritize?

Nikhil’s take: There is no clear starting center available in free agency, and I would rather give Emery Jones and a rookie a chance at the right guard job. Instead, I keep coming back to the defensive line, particularly an EDGE room that needs some veteran depth. Former Ravens Jihad Ward has quietly been a solid rotational contributor for four different defenses since leaving Baltimore in 2020, and the team would be wise to pursue a reunion. He recorded 5.5 sacks and 47 pressures in 2025, per PFF, and can line up in multiple spots along the defensive line. Longtime Saint Cameron Jordan would also be a worthy pickup after a 10.5-sack, 15-tackle for loss showing. Like Calais Campbell – another reunion to explore – he can still impact games 15 years into his NFL career and may jump at the chance to join a Ravens defense that has done well with veteran defensive linemen in recent years.
