Rangers Fan Falls from Stairwell

Wow again! I think the MLB is going to inspect the park in the offseason. Make sure it's safe enough. There have been too many accidents for it all to be a coincidence that it all has happened in Texas.

They really need to do something about that stadium. I've never been there, but it seems like a deathtrap.

At least he's still alive and there wasn't another death.

It's actually one of the nicer ballparks in the country...very family friendly and all that and they are working on trying to fix the problem...it's sad though

I think it's really weird that this is only happening at the Rangers park...I don't think it's much different than any other ballpark.

I've always liked the Rangers stadium, design-wise. I know they can't fix everything, and I'm not expecting them to make grippy steps with padding at the bottom or anything, but at least raising the walls a few inches or so would probably help with the biggest danger.

It's good to see that this person is okay. People have either become too careless at the ballpark, or ballparks just aren't safe anymore. There was Shannon Stone's tragic death in July, the guy who stood on the rails trying to catch a home run ball and he fell but people caught his shirt and his arm and pulled him back in (he was okay), and now there is this.

for the place that led to the death of Stone, put a netting connected to the board and stands that can support up to 500lbs (allow some weight for a rescue person). As for this most recent issue, people just need to be more careful. nothing else to say here.

I like the idea of putting a net there.
I would have it hold like 800 pounds, though, because it gets pulled on a lot when someone first hits it, especially because they have fallen.

That would turn a death into this:
