It is being reported by MANY sources that Albert Pujols has just signed a deal with...the freakin ANGELS!!!

The deal is reported to be $250-260 MM over 10 years with a full no trade clause. Not only have the Angels shocked the Rangers at the winter meetings in Dallas with this shot to the heart they are also about to compete a contract with C.J. Wilson....wow...
 
Wow. I did not see this coming....it's crazy.

Never thought I'd see Pujols in an Angels jersey....
 
10 years is way too long. 5 years would be a risk, but 10 is just ridiculous.
 
This is exactly like the whole Lebron James thing.

Thank goodness they didn't do some ESPN special or anything....I would've had to bust out the rantboard.
 
Yeah what a surprise. The Angels just started talking to him for the first time 2 days ago. His contract is way too long though. In 10 years he will be 42 years old, and it has already been seen that he is starting to slowly decline already just at 31 years old.

The Angels also got CJ Wilson who will be a nice boost to their rotation. They could be really good next year with these additions.
 
WHAT?! At first I didn't believe this. What a gamble. And the fact that they already have CJ Wilson? Them and the Marlins...

$250 million?! What can one possible do with all that cash?!

I just did the math (lol jk, I googled it) and if you spent a dollar of the 250 million every second, it would take eight years to run out.

That's ridiculous.
If I spent a penny every hour, I'd probably run out of money before Pujols... (well, depending what you want to count as "my money")
 
This is ridiculous the Angels don't anything about age and it's affect on player. There's no way he will play 10 more years with the Angels at least for sure.

Dude, Til he's 42? seriously? It shouldhave been a 4 year deal at most..
