Apparently Sony heard our pleas for a new handheld gaming system; according to this source, http://www.csmonitor.com/Innovation/Horizons/2010/0917/PSP2-is-on-the-way-developer-says]www.csmonitor.com/Innovation/Horizons/2010/0917/PSP2-is-on-the-way-developer-says[/url] , developers have the PSP2 in their grasp and are analyzing the capabilities of this seemingly amazing system. I'll try to find more info on it; right now there are only a few leaks here and there.

Also, according to rumors, PS4, PS5, and PS6 are in the planning stages.

Most likely, they are. Since Sony themselves have not revealed the PSP2, my guess is that they are not even halfway finished with the machine. People are estimating that the release date will be around E3 of 2011 or sometime in 2012.
 
I'm amazed that they're making a sequel to a system that almost nobody liked. If they are making a PSP2, it better be amazing.

I read somewhere that it would have the capabilities similar to that of the orginal Xbox.

Well, I do know that it is supposed to have a 4 core processor or something like that. The PS3 has an 8 core processer or whatever it's called.
 
The two things that it would HAVE to have or I won't like it - 2 analog sticks, and better graphics.

Actually, those are what are known among most Nintendo gamers as D-Pad.
