Make a proposal you would like to see!

To Pittsburgh
Nicolas Deschamps
Conditional* 2011 3rd round draft pick

To Anaheim
Chris Kunitz
Nick Johnson

*Anaheim is tenth seed or above

Why for PIT: Kunitz has an enormous cap hit. Deschamps is a good future center that can either be on the second or third pair.

Why for ANA: Kunitz can work on any line, is a good passer, and has played for the Ducks before. Nick Johnson is one of the best Penguins prospects at the current time, and will be a good exchange for Deschamps.

Potential hurdles: Kunitz's salary

Hey, I know you... Anyway:

To Bos:
- Penner
- Cogliano
- 2nd round (31st overall) pick
- Riley Nash

To Edm:
- 2nd overall pick

Why for Bos: They need wingers that can score. If the Oilers take Hall the Bruins will get two scoring wingers to play with Savard. Nash is a prospect added as a bonus.

Why for Edm: They get both Hall and Seguin and rapidly speed up this rebuild.

I'd even throw Hemsky into the mix to get both these players. A line of Eberle-Seguin-Hall is unreal just thinking about it. And a Hemsky-Savard-Penner line would be a top line that'll score LOTS of goals, something the B's need.

Detroit:
Chris Osgood
*2011conditional 6th round pick

Carolina
Cam Ward

*2011conditional 5th round pick

Why Detroit?-Ozzy is clearly at the end of the road so we need a younger and more reliable backup.

Why Carolina?-Ward isn't working out in recent years so a change in pace is needed.

This could be good for both teams since both need a change in pace b/t the pipes, backup for Detroit and primary for the Canes.

Hurdles-What is Cam Ward's salary?

I think you guys are stuck with Ozzy. Mabye Tampa Bay would do this:

To TBL:
-Osgood
-1st round pick

To DET:
-St. Louis

Why for DET: Get rid of Osgood, giving Howard the starting spot and get a good winger to add some depth.

Why for TBL: St. Louis wants out. And Osgood would fit in well, giving Smith time to develope.

I like that, but somewhere we need to pick up a goalie b/c our best prospect for backup headed overseas after he was told it would be at least 2011-2012 before he would backup Jimmy. St.Louis would provide some added depth, which we do need I think.

Then add Nittamaki to the mix. So itd be:

to DET:
-St. Louis
-Nittimaki

to TBL:
-Osgood
-1st round pick

dont forget, Yzerman is the Lightnings GM.

I know Yzerman is their GM :(. That trade I could deal with, since most of our talent in the draft comes late.

And Nittimaki is good enough to be a starter if needed. Not the best, but he can get the job done.

one more question: are the salaries for both cheap? I ask this because in Detroit we ride the cap every year.

That could be an issue. But I don't think Nittimaki is making that much. St. Louis though, he is making 5+ mill I think.

St. Louis though, he is making 5+ mill I think.well then that won't work b/c Nick Lidstrom is our highest paid player and he is at 6.25mil. It will depend on who we sign and for how much in FA on if this is realistic, but I doubt it is.

ur not getting kunitz back besides we dont need a center we have 3 great 1s in Crosby, Malkin, & Staal

Heres one between Calgary and Tampa:

To TBL:
- 2011 1st round pick
- Glencross

To CGY:
- Martin St. Louis

Why TBL: St. Louis wants out. He hasn't demanded it, but he said he wants to be on a winning team. They get Glencross in return: a big winger who can crush players and pop in a few goals, that can make any 4th line a dangerous line. And the Flames next years 1st rounder which I expect to be a top 15 pick.

Why CGY: St. Louis adds much need offense. And they'll finally have a legit superstar to play with Iginla.
