Exactly every month a staff member is going to win because are included on the poll.
That's not neccessarily true. POTM is to award the user who posts the most/has the most quality of posts each month. Since most of the active users are staff, there's a good chance that it will be a member of the staff that wins it. But this month is a perfect example of how not only staff members post alot. Just look at mdolszak and wingnut, both of them have just as much as, if not more posts than most staff members.
Just because we're staff doesn't mean that we have some kind of ability to post more than any other user. Fact of the matter is that you're not going to win unless you're active enough.

Trust me, it has nothing to do with popularity. If anything, a non-staff member posting as much as a staff member has the upper hand in POTM because it's so rare for a non-staff member to post that much. And there are two non-staff members who are most definitely in the running for POTM, which just shows that they have just as good of a chance and staff members.
