Poll of the Week #11

The Angels have acquired Albert Pujols and CJ Wilson. CJ Wilson will bolster their already strong pitching staff, and Pujols will fill a hole in their offense. The Angels have a lot of question marks on offense, but do have some talented players. So with these additions of Pujols and Wilson, are the Angels serious contenders to win the World Series next year?

They will be in the running, but probably won't win for at least a couple years.
They just aren't dominant enough yet.

I think people forget that last year they were in the playoff hunt in the AL West until the last week of the season. They have 3 already great pitchers. Jared Weaver, Dan Haren, Ervin Santana, and now Wilson. I think they are contenders too, but not favorites just yet. They can definitely win the AL West this year though.

I'm gonna say yes. I think they'll make a strong run in the playoffs. They've got a great rotation.

They just aren't dominant enough yet. Agreed completely. They just don't have enough "spark"

We can't really tell whether or not they will be the favorites until we see them and all the other teams play, so I'm just gonna go with the 3rd option.

I think they need motivation for the year.
Getting Pujols, and other players, may influence the energy they have for each game.
