I am listening to the radio currently and they are reporting that the owner of the Colts announced that Peyton Manning will not practice until at the earliest December and most likely will not play a game until next year.

Well last night, the Colts proved that they don't need him, sure, they're gonna be better with him, but they can still put up a fight without him.

This isn't good news for the Colts, but it shouldn't be a surprise. Even if he was healthy in December whats the point of playing him. They won't be fighting for a playoff spot, and it's not worth the risk.

Exactly, few people I have talked to about Peyton Manning seem to not get that. Even if he were able to return for the last three games (or so) of the season, what would be the point if the Colts were not contending for the playoffs? Why would they risk extending Peyton Manning's injury by rushing the healing, if they aren't even contenders? They wouldn't.

Just look at the Seahawks they've never won a Super Bowl ever.

They could still pull an '08 Patriots and still do pretty well without their QB.
