Lakers' LeBron James Ordeal Similar to Pacers' Saga in 2024

The Indiana Pacers don't have the best LeBron James-related memories, as he has sent them packing from the playoffs in five different postseasons. The Pacers ended that saga with Siakam on their roster, and his behaviors before he was traded are similar to the way LeBron has been carrying himself ever since the Lakers refused to offer him a new contract. "Raptors fans will probably remember the fact that [Siakam] was absent from veteran practices and other team activities while his name was kind of bandied about in trade conversation all offseason," remembered NBA insider Jake Fisher.

How Indiana Pacers Disrespected Myles Turner Until He Finally Left

The Indiana Pacers and the rest of the NBA world were shocked when Myles Turner spurned his old team and signed with the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason. Turner was long expected to re-sign with the Pacers, with whom he spent the entirety of his NBA career, although Tyrese Haliburton's injury, which closed their title window, and constantly being undervalued by the franchise eventually turned him away. Time after time, Turner was expected to take a hometown discount to stay with the Pacers, and ultimately, he felt that Indiana owed him for his years of service.

Indiana Pacers' perfect move in 2025 NBA offseason

Coming off a dream run to the NBA Finals in 2025, the Indiana Pacers are going to come crashing back down to earth for the upcoming season as they await the return of Tyrese Haliburton from an Achilles injury. While the Pacers have more than enough talent to remain a playoff team in the Eastern Conference, Haliburton's absence will make it very difficult for them to make it deep into the playoffs, let alone back to the NBA Finals. Alas, the Pacers underwent a major unforeseen change this offseason, losing Myles Turner to the Milwaukee Bucks in free agency.

Pacers Trade Named One of Best Under the Radar Moves of NBA Offseason

The Indiana Pacers haven't been aggressive this offseason, but that doesn't mean they haven't had an active one. Myles Turner decided to leave the Pacers, which was their biggest news. Turner signed a four-year deal worth $108.9 million. One of the moves they made this offseason was actually named as one of the best moves from any team this offseason by The Athletic, and it wasn't the move to let Turner walk to Milwaukee.

Pacers Insider Reveals Who Must Step Up in Tyrese Haliburton's Absence

The IndyStar's Dustin Dopirak believes forward Pascal Siakam will need to step up for the Indiana Pacers during All-Star Tyrese Haliburton's absence during the 2025-26 season. Haliburton tore his Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals and is projected to miss most, if not all, of the upcoming NBA season. With Haliburton out, Siakam will be the lone All-Star on the Pacers and will likely handle the ball more often than he has since coming to Indiana.
