Aaron Nesmith's career-best 27 points lead Pacers past Bulls

Aaron Nesmith scored a career-high 27 points and the Indiana Pacers notched their fifth win in the last seven games with a 127-112 defeat of the Chicago Bulls on Sunday in Indianapolis. Nesmith, who came into Sunday's contest averaging 1.2 made 3-pointers per game, canned 6 of 11 from deep to lead the Pacers on a 19-of-44 shooting effort (43.2 percent) from beyond the arc as a team. With the Indiana defense holding Chicago to 10-of-33 3-point shooting, the long ball helped make the difference in the win. Nesmith's 11 attempts matched his career-high, and his six made were one shy of matching his personal best.

Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton Stamps His Name in Individual NBA History

The Indiana Pacers captured their 34th win of the season on Sunday when they defeated their division rival, the Chicago Bulls. The Pacers won rather easily, 127-112, and were in complete control for most of the game. While Tyrese Haliburton didn't lead the team in scoring, he did his part and then some; besides dropping 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field, he made history in Sunday's contest. Haliburton became the first player in NBA history to record 500 assists in a season before recording 100 turnovers.

Indiana Pacers' biggest mistake at 2025 NBA trade deadline

The Indiana Pacers were off to a rough start to the 2024-25 season, although they have now righted the ship even though their drop-off on the offensive end certainly raises some concerns. This Pacers team, as one would recall, made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season. No one can take away from that feat of theirs even though some would put an asterisk on it considering that they took advantage of injury woes from the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks to make it that far. All a playoff team can do after all is to play the team in front of them.

Star center Myles Turner put together a strong performance in the first half of the game, scoring 15 points. After the fact, Turner discussed his lackluster performance in the second half of the game.

How Pistons' shocking surge created 4-seed East pileup with Bucks, Pacers

There is no story better in the NBA right now than what the Detroit Pistons have achieved this season. Around this time last year, the Pistons were the laughingstock of the league when they finished the 2023-24 season with a 14-68 record after a historic 28-game losing streak. With a month left this season, the Pistons are 37-29, tied with the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers for the 4-seed in the Eastern Conference. If you told someone last year that the Pistons would finish with 40 or more wins and be in the mix for home-court advantage in the East playoff picture, you probably would have been forced to go to therapy.
