So the Playoff teams are set, and we are ready for an exciting October and ready to crown a champion.
I will be writing a new blog article each round of the playoffs to talk about each round. First is the ALDS and the NLDS.
Phillies vs Cardinals-The Phillies did not expect to be playing the Cardinals as the Cardinals just got in on their last game. The Phillies will be powered behind their strong pitching staff of Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, and Vance Worley, and the Cardinals will be powered by Albert Pujols, Matt Holiday, and Lance Berkman. My prediction: Phillies win series 3-1.
Diamondbacks vs Brewers-The Diamondbacks were this years surprise team, and the Brewers made it in with no problem this year. The Diamondbacks will be powered by their strong pitching staff, and the Brewers will be powered by their strong duo of Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder who both had amazing seasons. My prediction: Brewers win 3-1
Yankees vs Tigers-The Yankees coasted into the playoffs this season, and the Tigers are arguably the hottest team in baseball right now. The Yankees have a powerful offense with Curtis Granderson, Robinson Cano, and Mark Texiera, while the Tigers have two MVP candidates in Justin Verlander and Miguel Cabrera. My prediction: Yankees win 3-2.
Rays vs Rangers-The Rangers have had a strong team all year, and the Rays are very hot and just made the playoffs as of yesterday. The Rangers are powered by Michael Young and Josh Hamilton, while the Rays are powered by Evan Longoria, and a whole cast of players who are very clutch. My prediction: Rays win 3-1.
I expect the First round of the Playoffs to be really exciting. My first playoff prediction is going to be the Phillies win the World Series over the Yankees.
