I didn't see this on here yet so thought I would post it just for fun. ;) I love listening to die hard fans back up their favorites. Heck even Shaquille O'Neal backed MJ lol ...but I was curious to who you guys think is the better basketball player. Vote in the poll and of course explain why by replying.
:cheer:

Michael Jordan! I grew up watching him, and he ignited my love for Basketball. I don't know what it is, but Lebron does not inspire the same in me. Michael won with whoever he had available, Lebron has tried to control the front office to get the best players with him to win a championship. Granted, the Bulls were great to start with, but I don't remember (I could be wrong) him ever trying to force things. I was a kid too, so that may have some influence on it. But who knows?

We'll have this discussion again in 10-20 years when the next King is crowned. :P

Jordan hands down. Just look at his rings.

Well Lets Agree to Disagree !
LeBron James is Better than Jordan, Jordan was good once upon a time, Now he is just inconsistent and #HYPE.
Where as LeBron he is hands down the best overall Player Out there ! No one Dunks Like ma boy LeBron Dawg :p

I mean.. I thought we were talking about them in their prime. MJ is like 53 now, so obviously 30 year old Lebron is better.

 At 30, MJ was coming off of a three-peat. His inconsistency was retiring and going to play baseball in the prime of his career. To add to it, he returned from baseball an had a 2nd three-peat.

I'm just saying:
MJ: 6
LJ: 2

MJ was inconsistent? This is very brave statement. James is a great player even though I don't like his style of play. He is just to muscular and strong if that is even possible. He reminds me of Christiano Ronaldo in football. He is very dominant physically. I vote for MJ for reasons that are not to be explained and it is even more unfair to compare these two only like no other position or player is right there with them. I would say Bryant was a better player than James and maybe even Jordan. The guy was just amazing. What about legends like Duncan, Garnet, Nash, Bird, Iverson and many more? I just say that like in football you cannot say one is the best. They say Maradona is the best ever or Messi, for example. I don't see how Messi could achieve something if defenders or a goalkeeper didn't do his job as good as Messi did his. I just say for a team sport it is ridiculous to say one player is the best.
Without good defence and rebounds Jordan or James wouldn't be as good as they were.

MJ has the finesse. He was much more clutch, and by the looks of Lebron's career Jordan will end up with more championships and MVP's. Only time will tell. Lebron is a powerhouse, and a great player in his own right, but he has even made statements deferring the "best player" talk over to Steph Curry. If he doesn't even think of himself as being the current greatest than how can he live up to Michael Jordan's body of work?

Ok, so I voted for Michael Jordan, because the question was too vague for me.  I think Michael Jordan is the superior basketball player if you are just gauging skills.  However, I think that LeBron still has a few more years left in him to prove himself.  I will say that LeBron's legacy may surpass Jordan's if he is able to bring a championship home to Cleveland.  As a native Ohio resident who grew up less than an hour from Cleveland, you cannot understand how dejected that city was when it comes to competitive athletics.  LeBron brought them hope and then crushed them when he left.  The city was ecstatic when he returned and rightfully so.  He is really Cleveland's only chance in the near future of securing a championship in any sport.  If he is able to do that great feat and turn the "Mistake by the Lake" into the "Roar on the Shore," he could very well surpass Jordan.  Jordan played the majority of his career with one team, with one great coach, and many other great players as a supporting cast.  Much easier to be a legend with those circumstances than with what LeBron was first was first dealt his first time around in Cleveland.
