Mariners outfielder Greg Halman was stabbed to death in Rotterdam, Netherlands, early Monday morning, and his younger brother reportedly was arrested as a suspect by Dutch police.

Halman, 24, played 35 games as a rookie with the Mariners last season before returning home to the Netherlands to prepare for a shot at earning a full-time job in Seattle's outfield.

This is very tragic for the Mariners. RIP Greg Halman.
 
I never really heard of this guy, but it's always sad when someone is killed... especially stabbed to death.

Really sad...especially since this is Thanksgiving week...that family is going to have an awful Thanksgiving now. RIP


I wonder if Car had heard of this guy...

I wonder if Car had heard of this guy...
I vaguely remember him he wasn't much of an impact player for the Mariners this very sad for us Mariner fans. R.I.P Greg Halman.

For basketball...yeah. Baseball and football I pay a good amount of attention to especially football and with the lockout. I live in Portland, so I'm like the average Portlander/Oregonian that roots for the Ducks, Seahawks, Mariners, Timbers, and Blazers. I've been following these teams ever since I followed sports which is why he asked me. You'll learn more about all of us eventually.
