Yes, but Cam Newton had a really good rookie season. He broke a load of records. Generally speaking, the guy on Madden has a great performance the season before which is the reason why he gets on the cover. Cam Newton had a spectacular season, and he's definitely the franchise player of the Panthers. On the other hand, with the Lions, Matthew Stafford is a beast when he is healthy, which is why you can understand why his go to guy had a good season. Also, if you want to go with fan favorites as it's fan voting, I personally figured Cam Newton would win because of all those people who were on the Cam Newton bandwagon last season, even with the Panthers not succeeding.

That's a fair opinion. But again, even if Megatron isn't the best, he is a top two WR.

Fitz even said that Calvin is better, and if anyone else could be the best, it would be Fitz.

Do you know how many people hate the Lions? Being biased towards them isn't anything new in today's word, I expect it actually.
But does that mean you're biased if you think Calvin Johnson isn't the best WR in the NFL? Absolutely not.
The majority believe that Calvin is the best WR in the league, including several experts. And being your favorite WR and being the best WR are two different things, and people seem to mix that up.
