Kobe Bryant and his agent have been talking to a Turkish basketball club recently, and Kobe has said he would play overseas, causing a lot of speculation about if Kobe could be, in fact, playing overseas if there there is an NBA lockout. Kobe said he is also considering playing in China. He is currently on a tour of China.

Thoughts?

Seems like a good idea. Doesn't want to just take a year off from basketball, so why not go overseas and play. There are going to be a lot of players playing over there if this lockout keeps going.

Kobe is an amazing competitor and if he has an opportunity to play no matter how tough the competition in that league I'd think he'd still want to play.

We would call that practice for Kobe. Players need to do something during the lockout..

Kevin Durant was apparently negotiating with the Turkish team that Deron Williams signed with.

Bulls forward, Carlos Boozer has also said he'd be interested in playing overseas.
